Remember back in March when we decided to makeover our foyer with a DIY shiplap project? It only took a few days start to finish but I have been playing around with styling it. It still is not quite the way I want it but there is always another post I can do.

The foyer previously was a beige color and I had my vintage secretary in here. It was painted a creamy white. I didn't like the color of the secretary up against the white shiplap so I moved in this old chest of drawers till I can get around to painting the secretary. |

The wall brightens the space up so much! |

The chest of drawers use to reside in the boys bedroom at the last house. They both got new ones when we moved but I could not get rid of this one. I just love it so much. |

The office doors will eventually get glass knobs. As matter of fact as soon as I finish the master bath makeover the office is next on the list of projects. We purchased a few pieces for the office over the weekend and they will be arriving in the next few days. Can't wait to share! |

Though the wall is completed I still have projects for this small space one of which is to eventually plank the ceiling. I also want to add wood beams from the foyer into the dining room. All in due time though. Sharing at these wonderful blogs: Between Naps On The Porch A Stroll Thru Life Savvy Southern Style Shabby FuFu French Country Cottage |
Pamela, your entry looks amazing! I am in love with the way you layered the items against the wall. The shiplap is the perfect backdrop too! You carry on girl. You've got the ability to make it beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you sweet lady. It certainly makes me happy now. It feels more like our home.
DeleteI love the way it looks and I can see why you had to keep that little dresser. I would too. Can't wait to see what else you have in store.
DeleteThank you Mary Jean for stopping by to visit! Hope you are having great week.
DeleteThat chest of drawers looks great there!
ReplyDeleteThank you Penny. Hope your week is going well.
DeleteI love your bright shiplap walls in your foyer, Pamela! It's always so rewarding to change an area at home with a project, and when that's done, to see how it's totally changed our home. I love your styling, it's a happy spot and such a beautiful entrance to your home. Happy Wednesday! Lidy

Thanks Debbie. The milk can came from my grandfather. It is always nice to be able to use personal vintage pieces I think. Hope your week is going well!
DeleteLoving your shiplap and planking the ceiling will be amazing. There's always a piece of furniture that we don't want to part with and for good reason
ReplyDeleteAnxious to see your master bath
Cindy
Thank you Cindy. I am hoping to get a lot of the master bath completed this weekend. We shall see. LOL.
DeleteIt is beautiful. LOVE the rug - where did you get it?
ReplyDeleteThank you Donna. The rug I purchased from HomeGoods last year in the Spring. I keep looking for a second one to save for when this one gets old and worn out but so far no such luck.
DeleteI’ve looked all over your blog to get info about your hardwood floors. I haven’t found any, but that could be my fault entirely. Could you give me info about them, please?
ReplyDeleteHi Eye On Argentina. Thanks for stopping by for a visit! Our wood flooring we chose at the builders design center. I have no idea who the maker is. We have tried finding out ourselves so that we can do our stairs and secondary bedrooms. I wish I could help!
DeleteSorry I couldn't help! If I ever find out I will try and remember to let ya know.
