Choosing a color for our master bathroom makeover was more of a challenge than I thought it would be. As matter of fact I thought I had it all worked out and purchased the paint. I ended up changing my mind though which did not surprise Mr. Front Porch one bit. I am notorious for doing that when it comes to paint colors. |
Sherwin Williams Sea Salt which is the furthest color on the left was "THE" color. I had been wanting to use it for a year now and well once I placed a sample of it up on the wall and Mr. Front Porch saw it we decided we wanted to go in a different direction. I then ended up pulling out my many other sample pots and started throwing them up on the wall. There were 7 colors in total and I let them sink in for a few days. |
In the meantime the salvaged vintage tins came in for the backsplash and I could not be happier with them! |
So the paint color I ended up choosing was not even one of the 7 on the bathroom wall!;) I ended up going with Sherwin Williams #6119 Antique White. It is a color I used in our half bath and in our guest bedroom and I truly love it. As for the 2 gallons of Sherwin Williams #6204 Sea Salt, I have other plans for it now. |

Gosh it is hard to choose paint and that white will be beautiful with the chandy.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness…we can so relate how hard it can sometimes be to choose a paint color. Love your paint swatch rainbow - all of the colors were beautiful! Cab't wait to hear about your chandelier!

I have the same issue with choosing paint....I think that I want to go with a "color" then I go back to the neutral hues in my decisions...so nothing gets painted!....love the color and that fabulous chandy Pamela!!!
ReplyDeleteI find choosing paint colors hard also...they look so different with lights on/off, sun, etc. All the possibilities you have to bring in colors by using antique white on the walls - looking forward to seeing it all put together ;-)

I have Seasalt throughout my living room and upper landing. I love it! It's funny how you can start out wanting one thing and end up going a completely different direction. I can't wait to see what that tin look like on your backsplash! That is going to look really good!!
ReplyDeleteI have the hardest time picking paint colors too. I am thinking about painting my dining room Antique White, it's so dark right now and I have been wanting to go lighter and that color looks like a nice warm neutral that will go with everything. Can' wait to see your bathroom, you've found some pretty things.

ReplyDeleteI am laughing out loud because I too had similar experience with a "this is the color" then going in a complete different direction.
ReplyDeleteI'm losing sleep over interior colors. I have to make a decision in two days. I like BM Swiss Coffee and Antique White, not sure if I want an Extra White trim...HELP!
ReplyDeleteI do not think you could ever go wrong with an extra white trim!:) I understand your sleepless nights though. I was having trouble deciding on colors for our new home but now that I have them chosen everything is falling in to place. Good luck!
