Around the holidays I received a gift card to Kirklands so after the craziness was over I went shopping! What I needed most was a new mirror for above our fireplace.
I browsed online before heading to the store and found the Victoria Mirror and fell in love. I knew it would be just perfect for above the fireplace. It was even more beautiful in person! It almost came home with me till... |
The mirror was marked down due to being damaged but I knew I could make it beautiful once again. |
All that chippiness worked in my favor! |
Now this mirror has a time worn finish and fits right in with our home. |
I think it turned out just perfect! |
Not bad for $29.99 and a little sweat equity. Linking up to the following linky parties: WOW Us Wednesdays |
I have been thinking of getting that mirror from Kirkland's, but hate to pay full price when I know I'll be painting it. You sure got a great deal! I'll have to check my store and see if they have any marked down. (fingers crossed)! I want to hang it above the fireplace too. I guess we'll be "twinsies" if I do. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the mirror and your mantel!! What colors did you use on your mantel?
ReplyDeleteCherita I fauxed our mantel four years ago. It was actually one of the first transformations in our living room that I did. I used Rainwashed by Shewrin Williams along with I think White Column maybe by Sherwin Williams. I would have to look that name up. Then I just blended the colors all in with some brown glaze. It is one of my most favorite things about our living room!
