A HomeGoods Kinda day.

EDIT NOTE: NO WAY!!! Look what I just found over on Horchow! Mine are not an exact match but just as beautiful and let me tell ya for everything ya see on my table I paid less than $80 for it. Divide their set by the 20 pieces it has and thats $10.45 a piece on sale!I think I am in love even more!Ha!

Hey ya'll! Hope today has been a good day for ya. Today it has been BEAUTIFUL out and the weekend promises to be the same with it getting all the way down to 50 at night! Quite a change from the 101 heat index we had yesterday!! I am very thankful and giddy abt the cooler weather and hope it stays around awhile.
Speaking of being giddy, Littliest and I went to HomeGoods since I had not been in abt two weeks. He was rather upset that the Halloween stuff was almost gone and being replaced with Christmas. I on the other hand was thrilled. I found two little somethings I will share in another post.
That was not why I was giddy though! I found these!!

It was a small display on the end of one of the isles. They had the blue china and then they also had a mustard color. I fell in love with the blue!

I have been wanting to add blue to the dinning room in some form or fashion and then I saw these and knew they were the piece to the puzzle I was missing. I am going to pair the blue with white.

See that big white bowl? It was just $12.99!! I swear it was mis-marked. The oval platter will become a chalk board with the saying "Give Many Thanks". I can just see these displayed in the china hutch with a black and white Harlequin background.

Here is what I first had in mind for the setting. Now I am not so sure I will keep this particular white plate. I am two short and I think it may be a little busy. Speaking of being a little short I am missing several pieces to my 6 sets I needed. I bought only a sample to see if they were the one and just an hour later when I returned some other lady fell in love too and bought half what they had. I pretty much finished the rest off but am hoping they get more in. I still need 3 bowls, 2 tea cup sets ,and I think 2 blue plates as well as 2 white plates if I keep those. Oh and the china hutch!;) If the one in my previous post is still available come Sunday we will drive down there and attempt to get it. If not I am sure something else will come up closer to home.

Have you found something this week at HomeGoods you just love???

Doors of Welcome

Come and join me and all the other gals over at Some Days Are Diamonds for a Doors of Welcome fall party! Thanx Karen for hosting!

Welcome to our stoop! This is what ya see as you walk up the path. I traded in our beautiful initial mini flag for the pumpkin treat bucket so Oldest and Littliest would not protest that Mama doesn't really decorate for Halloween per say.

Just last weekend I made the lizards move to a new nest so I could trade out the faux ferns from the urns. Isn't it wonderful how the word 'faux' makes everything sound nicer! Ha! I used my wire topiary thingys from Hob Lob and then just wrapped leaf and flower and berry garland around each one. I do it every year but this year I added the grapevine wreaths to the bottom as a nice base. I also want to add some raffia ribbon around the top as a bow. I just need to remember to buy some when I am out.

I know I already featured my wreath in a previous post but I had to include it in this one as well! Pretty darn nice for just $21 I think.

A little Boo sign from HomeGoods again for the boys but also for the Mama. I need to figure out a prettier way to hang it. I am just using the screws from out iron Welcome sign that is normally hanging up. I have lights on this topiary and it is soo pretty when lite up. I need to buy a string for the other one. I will leave the stoop decorated till Thanksgiving with just changing out the Boo sign and bringing back out the initial flag.

I know it is Doors of Welcome but I had to include a few pics of my fave decorations I d put out inside as well. There are not many since I am in the middle of painting but this one is on the top of my list. I just love my lil' Mark Roberts fairy bag!

Like I said I am in the middle of painting!Ha! My motivation to finish is Christmas decorating! So I have what a month and half to finish!? I love my little sign from HomeGoods and the $2 witch hat on top.

Thanx for stopping by ya'll! Hope your day was a good one!

Beautiful....

but not quite right. I lived with the new background and even though it was truly beautiful it just was not quite right. Not quite me. Now I think I am loving the newest one. It is full of color and still has a vintage flare to it which I was wanting. I just need to try and get The Hubster to fix my header so the blog title is in the center. I have no idea on how to do that since we do not have Photoshop.
Hope ya'll are having a wonderful week! I think we are off to check out the sale pumpkins at Michaels if they have any left. I swore when we drove by the other day they said only $5! I can handle $5 for some faux pumpkins to play around with. So many ideas out there in blog land that I am just dying to try just one!

Sooo Close

Good morning ya'll! I am sooo close to being done. What do ya think?? I still need to figure out the header and make my blog name fit the tag. I am testing it out and seeing if it grows on me. Change is good right!?
While I was on my mission to freshen up things around here I came across Karen over at The Graphics Fairy. She has two differ sites. One site is for the free blog backgrounds which is where I got this one from and the other is for free vintage graphics. If you love The Vintage Moth than you will LOVE The Graphics Fairy! She has TONS of images on there and as a thank you for offering it to us all for free I wanted to give her a shout out and tell you all about how great she is! Head on over there right now! You won't be disappointed! She even gives you some great project ideas with tutorials.

Here is just one of her neat graphics! How cool is this cottage with the floor plan!?

Almost

It is almost 1:30 am and I almost there on the redo but not quite there. I have NO IDEA why my right sidebar is soooooooooooooooooooooo far down the page and I give up for tonight or this morning or whatever ya wanna call it. I am close though. Some exciting news to go with the new look is that I am having a bloggy button made so if ya wanna grab ya one ya can! I am tickled pink! It's the little things ya'll!
Have a good one and hopefully tomorrow things will be back to normal or to new and improved!

Sprucing Up

Forgive me for the disarray. I am in the midst of trying to figure out on my own how to make my layout turn into a three column instead of a two column so I can use a really awesome blog background I just found! It may take a few days but I am determined!
Come back ya'll and see if I make any progress!;)

Opinion Needed

Found this on the local yard sale site this afternoon. After going back and fourth on it I was able to get the guy to sell it by itself away from the table and chairs. He said I could have it for $200. I offered $175 and he said $200 firm. Would you buy it for $200?? It is almost exactly what I was looking for except it needs painting of course. What to do what to do????
