I was super excited yesterday when this box arrived on our porch! |
|
I couldn't wait to open it and see what all was inside. |
|
Oldest & Littliest were excited as well and wanted to help. What on earth was so surprising to Oldest? |
|
He saw the stamping on the back of some of the pillows and thought that I would be upset because they were "ruined". Ha!:) I had to explain to him that that was just how the pillows were suppose to be and that some had them and some didn't. They had fun helping me inventory it all.
So what on earth is that box for? I figured I would go ahead and let the cat out of the bag and tell y'all... |

After months of saving up I decided I am opening my very own online shop!! I have had so many inquiries from my Facebook and bloggy pals about wanting to purchase things from my space out at the cottage that I decided that I wanted to be able to bring some of those items to y'all! Of course ya won't be able to purchase larger items such as my furniture but there will be plenty of other items. My shop will have custom made items, vintage finds, and market items. I spent weeks of researching just the right products form market to bring to y'all that I knew you would just love.
My shop is called Finch & Co. Designs. Now some of you may be wondering why on earth I didn't call it From My Front Porch To Yours and honestly I did think about the possible confusion it may cause having my blog and Facebook page called one thing and my shop another but I did have a reason behind it. I was thinking about the future and one day I may not blog anymore...gasp... and wanted a name that would stand the test of time. A name that would encompass my boys. The name of the shop is a family name. I also thought about changing my blog name but then again one day I may not want to have my online shop anymore and then my blog name would no longer make sense. So to me the best thing was to just keep the two separate at least for now. |
My inventory line at first will be light but as business grows...if it grows...I will be adding more and more items. If there is something you have been looking for and just cant seem to find it let me know. I may be able to find it for you! If you have ideas for products let me know that too!:)
Over the next week or two I will be working on finishing up the site and getting some more inventory in.
|
Once I get everything squared away and in the shop I will be having a Grand Opening Day post with a giveaway so stay tuned!:)
Thank you for coming along with me on this journey! I have no idea where it will go but I do know we will have a lot of fun along the way! |
Congrats! What exciting news! Can't wait to check out your online shop as you add to it.
ReplyDeleteCongrats! You know you could still merge the two together and use your blog name as a tag line for Finch & Co. Designs, or make the tag something similar like "Finch & Co. Designs -From our front porch to yours" so that there is some association between the two.
