Doors of Welcome

Come and join me and all the other gals over at Some Days Are Diamonds for a Doors of Welcome fall party! Thanx Karen for hosting!

Welcome to our stoop! This is what ya see as you walk up the path. I traded in our beautiful initial mini flag for the pumpkin treat bucket so Oldest and Littliest would not protest that Mama doesn't really decorate for Halloween per say.

Just last weekend I made the lizards move to a new nest so I could trade out the faux ferns from the urns. Isn't it wonderful how the word 'faux' makes everything sound nicer! Ha! I used my wire topiary thingys from Hob Lob and then just wrapped leaf and flower and berry garland around each one. I do it every year but this year I added the grapevine wreaths to the bottom as a nice base. I also want to add some raffia ribbon around the top as a bow. I just need to remember to buy some when I am out.

I know I already featured my wreath in a previous post but I had to include it in this one as well! Pretty darn nice for just $21 I think.

A little Boo sign from HomeGoods again for the boys but also for the Mama. I need to figure out a prettier way to hang it. I am just using the screws from out iron Welcome sign that is normally hanging up. I have lights on this topiary and it is soo pretty when lite up. I need to buy a string for the other one. I will leave the stoop decorated till Thanksgiving with just changing out the Boo sign and bringing back out the initial flag.

I know it is Doors of Welcome but I had to include a few pics of my fave decorations I d put out inside as well. There are not many since I am in the middle of painting but this one is on the top of my list. I just love my lil' Mark Roberts fairy bag!

Like I said I am in the middle of painting!Ha! My motivation to finish is Christmas decorating! So I have what a month and half to finish!? I love my little sign from HomeGoods and the $2 witch hat on top.

Thanx for stopping by ya'll! Hope your day was a good one!

  7. PERFECT! Everyone is happy - Mama, little ones and all of us guests!! Your "stoop" is so welcoming! I laugh that you call it that! My grandma used to call her back door steps the "stoop". Great memories!
