The Nutcracker Market

Every November The Houston Ballet puts on The Nutcracker Market. A divine shopping tradition that you must attend at least once if you live here. I have been three years in a row!
I loved it the past two but this year I was not feeling well so I was not able to enjoy it to the fullest extent. I thought that I would share some pics though that I managed to take with my phone. Mind you they may not be the best because you are not suppose to take pics! Shhhh!;)

This mirror was at one of my favorite booths Paul Michael! Every year they have these gorgeous mirrors and I hope to one day own one!
They also had these plate racks this year. I only took a pic because they reminded me of Kim over at Savvy Southern Style and her new plate rack!:)

I was soo tempted to get one of these iron rods and hanging baskets. They were on my to go back and get list but by that time you could not stir the crowd with a stick so I opted to leave it.

I could not resist getting a pic of these cuties!

I so wanted a better pic of this booth but every time I tried on of the sales people came by. The ivy ball was real!

This was one of my favorite booths this year. I almost bought that music paper wreath down in the corner but my friend and I decided it needed to be larger.

Maggie's is another booth I just adore. They actually have a store location here up in The Woodlands that I need to go and check out. A few years back I purchased a wrought iron chandy for our master bath from them.

And believe it or not after 5 hours of shopping these are the only things I walked away with! I know I really was not feeling well but as The Hubster says I am hard headed and just had to go!;)

Busy weekend

Hey ya'll! It has been a non stop super busy weekend. I guess I need to get use to it seeing as we are officially in holiday mode now. Neighbors around the corner from us just started putting up lights today and we actually saw a Christmas tree thru somebodies window!
I honestly was having a hard time getting in to the holiday spirit but after going to the Nutcracker for the first time with an old friend I think things are begining to look a lot like Christmas! Ha! I had a blast and am so glad Stephanie invited me. I have to admit I was a very bad blogger. I took only one pic and it was with my IPhone. Stephanie is not a blogger and does not know I blog so I did not want her thinking I was some kind of weirdo taking fifty million pics seeing as that was our first play date and all without kiddos! Ha! There were soooo many beautiful booths there and actually some said no picture taking! We arrived at 10 and left a little before 5. Made one trip to the car to unload and then headed back in.
I got a few neat things. An old timey Santie Claus that I am going to attempt to make a wreath around for our front door. Another Christmas decoration and then a really pretty wrought iron wind chime for the yard as well as a wrought iron chandy. The chandy had me at Hello! Ha! It was the one thing I just HAD to have! I will take a pic tomorrow and show it to ya'll!
I also ventured out to The Old Oak Cottage Christmas Open House and Antiques on The Lawn today. It was wonderful but I will share all about that in another post. All I will say is it brought on some change of plans for the dining room!;)
Have a great start of the week!
