Laundry Room Makeover Part 2 Farmhouse Cottage Style

I started making over our laundry room back in August but never got around to sharing on here so yesterday I posted Part 1 of our laundry room makeover. Today I am going to pick up where I left off. There were so many pictures that I felt best to just share them in several different posts.

After I finished putting up the Peel & Stick Wallpaper...which actually is not wallpaper  but I will get to that in another post...I could not resist putting up my Wash & Dry Sign and a few other accessories just to see how it would all come together. I loved the cathedral window but ended up taking the metal scrollwork out because I felt it was too busy for the space. I also ended up not putting the sign there. Instead I added a faux beam wood topper to the window which you will see in another picture later on.

Here is what the space looked like before I added any accessories.

You may be thinking the wallpaper is a little busy from this pic but trust me after the fridge moved in it all balanced out nicely. Speaking of the fridge. My darling blue fridge got me to thinking that I might want to paint all of the trim work blue to match the fridge. I have seen several spaces with blue trim work and loved them.

After spending several hours painting the blue I decided that I was just going to let the darling fridge be the only blue in the room. I was not a fan of the contrasting trim work in here. Maybe another room one day. That meant I had to repaint the trim work but oh well. Sometimes you just  have to try a design out before you really know. It only cost me a can of paint and I will use it somewhere else I am sure because I love blue!

After I repainted the trim and the lower portion of our large wall I started to put up Board & Batten. If you look up you will see I also added a little something to the ceiling. I had some faux tin Peel & Stick left over from our dining room cabinet so I thought that I would try it out in here but ended up not liking that particular one on the ceiling. I ordered a different style that I felt suited the space better. You can catch a glimpse of it in the next pic.

Here is the Board & Batten all painted and ready for hooks. You can also see a tad of the new ceiling and a tad of the faux wood beam topper on the window.

Tomorrow I will be sharing Part 3 of our laundry room makeover saga so stop on by for visit!
