When does a house stop being new? Tomorrow will be two years since we closed on our new house. Hard to believe it has been two years. Today I thought that I would take a look back at one of my favorite spots in our old house which is the breakfast nook.

I loved having a wall where I could display either a bakers rack or more often than not a pie safe. They were always so fun to decorate for the seasons. |
|
Brown Transferware is always a favorite of mine. I have to find it since we moved. It is upstairs in the garage somewhere. LOL. |
|
Our table that we have had since we have been married. It resides in our game room now since Mr. Front Porch and I built a slightly larger table. |
|
I think the green pairs nicely with the pumpkins and brown transferware. |
|
This shelving unit I wish would fit in our new breakfast nook but alas it resides upstairs as well. |

Such a great spot filled with wonderful memories!
Be sure to stop by and see our Fall 2018 Dining Room Part 1 and Part 2 in case you missed um earlier this week. |
Hi Pamela! Oh! I remember your beautiful breakfast book - so pretty and still perfect a few years later. We still call the house we live in "the new house ." We built it in 2001, lol. Jane
ReplyDeleteThanks Jane. That is good to know we are not the only ones that still call the house our new house. :)
DeletePamela,
ReplyDeleteThis is such a lovely post, dear one!
My BFF from High School recently moved within close driving distance
and I was privileged to her her style a heirloom primitive cabinet
belonging to her Mother. (My second Mom during my High School years.)
We did a similar design to the side of the cabinet as you have here.
Thank you for sharing your talent in styling with "us".
Pat
How nice that your friend moved close by! I miss having a place to display the rolling pins. In our new house there is not anywhere in the kitchen or breakfast nook to have them on the wall this way.
DeleteThis breakfast nook is so sweet and welcoming. Love the warmth of this room all dressed in Fall goodness.
