A few posts back I shared about how we are working on along our backyard a beautiful retreat. If you missed that post you can see it here. Since that post I added a new addition to the backyard. |
While I was designing on our fall front porch a few weeks back I ran over to the local Farmers Market to purchase corn stalks for the columns. While there I spotted this huge birdhouse made from recycled wood. I am thinking it is made from old fence boards. There is a house on all sides and it was very reasonably priced so home it came with me. It did not come with a stand so I was going to have to wait for Mr. Front Porch to help me come up with an idea on how we could make a stand for it so I could place it out in the yard. |
This was one of the easiest projects ever! |
I contemplated on whether I wanted to paint the body of the bird house or not. For now I am just going to leave it as is. |
I secured it to the ground with some anchors we had left over from the boys trampoline. |
I think it is the perfect addition to the backyard. Come spring I hope we have some renters. LOL. Sharing at these wonderful blogs: Between Naps On The Porch Savvy Southern Style |
