It has been a week and half since we bid farewell to our old home. It seems like it has been so much longer! The boys are now registered at their new schools and we have settled into the rental if you can really call living amongst boxes settled!;) School starts on the 22nd so now all we have to do is wait for the new house to be completed. There has been quite a bit of action in the last week that I shared here, here and here.
Not too long after we moved in I painted it Sevlte Sage by Sherwin Williams. |
Even though I dread the task of laundry I really loved this room. It made me smile when I would go in there. |
I do not have a before pic of our half bath when we moved in. Just picture a blank slate. The walls were a camel color so I just painted a blue feature wall. |
I absolutely could not stand this sink from day one! I can not tell you how many times the boys hurt themselves on the points when they were little. It was just awful. |
I had changed out the builder grade light fixture to a Tuscan styled one. |
Eventually I ditched the darker colors in our home and went french farmhouse. The walls were painted Sherwin Williams Antique White. I made custom shelving for the wall. |
We changed out the dreaded pointy shell sink and faucet as well. I LOVE this sink and faucet! The plan is to replicate it in our upstairs bathroom at the new house. I know, I know I should probably do something new and exciting but I love them that much and they go perfectly with the flooring I picked out. Since the half bath mini reno was completed I think three years ago I was afraid I would not be able to find the faucet again but I located it and it is sitting in my shopping cart!:) Sharing at Peeking Thru The Sunflowers. |
It's fun to look back and see how our tastes change over time! Lovely-

Love your style. Can't wait to see the new house.
ReplyDeleteHey Pam! I could look at your old laundry room all day! I love everything you did to it. I have a very similar shell sink in my half bath though I don't think it's nearly as pointy as yours was. I have to look at it now. LOL! Great post, glad the new house is progressing. So exciting!
ReplyDeletePamela, love looking back at your home and can't wait to see how you finish off your new one! Happy Wednesday, Pam @ Everyday Living
ReplyDeleteYour talent shines in the home renovations you did. I will never forget the way you transformed your kitchen. So much to look forward to!!
ReplyDeleteHi Pamela! I remember seeing your early laundry room back when I first learned of the blogging world, lol. I loved that room, but today's version has my vote now! Jane
ReplyDeleteLoved your laundry room and powder room in your previous home...I bet you have so many ideas for your new home!
ReplyDeleteIt's fun to see how your taste evolves over time. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI love the chest in the laundry room. I had a similar one that was my great-grandparents' chest. My daughter wanted it, so I passed it on to her when her daughter was born.
