A Bunny & A Bowl

One bunny on a stick that was made over last spring.
Click here and you can see her transformation.
One bowl that has been stored away for several years waiting for a use.

Let's put the bunny in the bowl! Its a perfect fit.

A quick trip to HobLob.

One furry assistant who wanted to make sure things were just right. She felt this project was much to big for her brother to supervise.

And here is what ya get with a bunny & a bowl!
I am working on the rest of the dining room and will share soon!

Adding Rustic Charm-Mystery Project Revealed

To say I love the French Country/Cottage look is an understatement.
Country Living
I think it is because you will always see old mixed in with the new making for rustic charm.
Traditional Home
Nothing screams rustic charm more to me than wood beams.

Decorpad
I long to add wood beams to our home. I have grand plans for our living room in the summer if we do not end up being relocated. Till then I came up with a plan to get that rustic charm I have been longing for.

Yep, these are the boards I stained earlier in the week. I had grand plans for them!

Boring hallway now has faux wood beams added to the top of the doors.

I decided to take them on into our master bath as well. I felt that this area needed a pop of something.

The boards add so much more life to this area and the entire bathroom for that matter but I am not ready to share it all yet!;)

And of course I could not resist adding "beams" to the guest bedroom hallway!

And since the hallway got some rustic charm I had to bring it on into the guest bedroom as well to complete the look.

Even the doorway to the guest bathroom got some rustic charm. I love how the "beams" flow with other elements in the room like the stained plantation shutters in the bathroom.

And not that this has anything to with faux wood beams I wanted to show y'all that I finally hung the chandy that The Papa rewired for me back at Christmas. I was hemming and hawing on whether I wanted it to go here and whether or not I wanted to hang it from the iron thingy or from the ceiling. Iron thingy won out at least for now. Not sure I am loving it yet or not. I have a cord cover coming soon that will help me make my decision. I am on the hunt for some small vintage mirrors to hang on the wall above the table or one tall mirror. I may just have to make what I am thinking of.

So there ya have it. Rustic wood "beams" added for right around $30! I really love how the project turned out and have plans of using it in other places around our home as well. Thank you to The Papa for always helping me with my crazy ideas!

Treasure Hunt Thursday #48 & Highlights

Welcome to Treasure Hunt Thursday! So glad to have y'all stop by and party at my place! We had so many wonderful entries last week. What I loved was seeing all the spring inspirations! I think we are all ready for spring right about now.

Speaking of spring nothing shouts out spring time like some rye grass! Miss Kopy Kat showed us her amazing indoor grass garden! This is a project that my boys and I need to attempt.

I fell deeply in love with these home made industrial shelves over at Anythingology! Shannon has such AMAZING taste!

Speaking of fabulous taste Kristin over at Sophia's shared her beautiful spring mantle. The butterfly/nest shadow boxes are divine!!

As always thank you to all who partied last week! I am so truly honored to have such talent partying at my place! If you were featured please feel free to grab the "I've Been Featured" button!:) I have the newly updated button with html code on my sidebar!  Though I was unable to leave a comment on every persons blog please know that I did stop by and visit!! I appreciate everybody taking the time to come over every week! What would be a HUGE help and encourage more comments not just from me but others as well would be for everybody to take off their required verification codes for leaving a comment. This seems to take just a few seconds of time but when you have to do it on 30 or more blogs it takes up a TON of time.

Now on to this weeks party!
As with all parties there are the normal rules. You must link back to From My Front Porch To Yours in your THT POST. Just common courtesy. If ya don't link back ya don't get to party. Only link up to your Treasure Hunt Thursday post and NOT your blog homepage. Please No advertising and PLEASE NO MORE than 3 links from the SAME party goer. If you find your post deleted it is not because I am a meany, I just have to make sure the rules are being followed. You can save some of your posts for the following weeks party! Please only link up new posts and not posts that you linked up the week before. Also be sure to visit at least the link before you and after you to just say Hi! It makes partying all the more fun! If you are new around here I would love it if ya become a follower!:)

Signs of Spring

Spring has sprung here in East Texas! Thought I would share a pic of our azaleas out in the yard.
These are so bright and vibrant! This photo is straight from my phone so imagine my surprise when I downloaded it! Reminds me of back home. I bet the greens will be beautiful this year for The Masters in a few weeks.
These are on the side of our house and have yet to peek and I can not wait! Look at all those buds!

Hope your day is going well! See y'all later this evening for Treasure Hunt Thursday!

Porch Party-From My Front Porch

Welcome to my very first Porch Party! So glad ya stopped by!
I finally finished sprucing up our front porch. It is already for spring!

This is what I started out with. Nice yes, but it is what I have been doing for the past few years and thus I wanted to change it up a bit.

I decided to take one of the urns away and then wanted to place grapevine around the door. Well let me tell ya grape vine is not easy to work with and it was thrown down several times and left to be for days at a time.
In between fighting with the grape vine I pulled this chair out of the dark depths of our garage and gave it a light sanding and stained it a tad darker just to freshen it up a bit.

Tada! Grapevine wrangled and chair in place.

I just used the same wreath from the past few years. When it gets closer to the summer I stick a flag in it. I may put a nest  in it when I find one large enough.

I found this pretty vine garland at HomeGoods. It had dogwood flowers ALL over it but it was too much so I pulled most of them off and just left the ones in the center.

Newly updated corner where the second urn use to sit.

I had a second letter E from Kirklands since I had purchased them on clearance so I decide to turn it into an F as well and placed it here where our Welcome sign use to hang.

Now we have a Welcome basket. I purchased it back in November and was just waiting for the right spot to use it.
Not sure why it took me so long to pull it altogether but I am happy with the way it tuned out! I may eventually add some white lights around the door.

So now that I have shared my porch I am excited to see y'alls! You can share your front porch, back porch, both or even just your dream inspiration porches! Anything goes as long as it has to do with porches! You can even link up old pictures of your porch if you do not have your porch ready for spring yet. I know that in some areas of the country spring has not sprung yet!:)
Same rules apply as Treasure Hunt Thursday- Please include a link back to the party in your post. No advertising. Also be sure to turn off your Word Verification. By turning it off you will open your post to lots of comments! I will leave the party open for THREE weeks so those of you who do not have your porch done yet but want to come and party too have a chance to spruce things up!:)

DON'T FORGET TIME SPRINGS FORWARD TONIGHT!
So now on to the Porch Party!
