The last of it!

I do not know about you but I am in full holiday mode now! I have been listening to the cable Christmas music channel every morning after I drop the boys off at school. Last weekend I did the annual moving of the furniture in the living room to accommodate a tree. I also started taking down all the fall that has been up since September!
Here is the last of it that I forgot to share with you! That is the angel that goes with our nativity set. I keep her out all year to watch over us. She has seen us thru many occasions to even include Hurricane Gustav!

I love how the sun shines thru the top of the door! I wish I had a plug up there so that I could do lights and not  have a hanging cord down the side like at Christmas. That drives me insane but I do it anyways!;)

So this is what it looks like at our house right now. The boys are all excited and we have even put up their tree in their bedroom already!

Most of all the holiday decor rests here in our master. Even though I would love to get going on it it will have to what till after Thanksgiving.

Have you started decorating yet?

Hope y'all are having a fabulous week!

Treasure Hunt Thursday #32 & Highlights

Sorry I am late posting y'all!! I have been soo busy today that THT completely slipped my mind until I sat down just now trying to think of what to post!:) Can you believe it!!??;) I tell ya I must be loosing it!

Just FYI next Thursday, Thanksgiving, I will NOT be throwing THT but we will continue the following week. I made this decision due to the fact that I know everybody will be busy spending time with family and friends and NOT on the silly ol' computer blog hopping!;)

Anyways, as always thanx to all who come to party every Thursday! You are the reason this party is sooo much fun! Here are some highlights from last weeks party!

Southern Junk Chic brought this old outdated mirror back to life! A true treasure now for sure!

Love this tool caddy over at Acts Of Life! Rachel also shared pics of her darling kitchen! I so am drooling over her mirror made chalk board!

And last but NOT least are Sonya's GORGEOUS pillows she made for her bedroom over at Beyond The Screen Door! I tell ya this lady is crazy talented!
As always thank you ladies and be sure to grab your "I've Been Featured" button!!Now on to this weeks party! We had over 40 party goers last week so lets see if we can beat that this week! I have been super busy this week and though I was not able to leave a comment for everybody I did indeed stop by all entries!!As with all parties there are the normal rules. You must link back to From My Front Porch To Yours. ***After several updates from pals trying to link up and not being able to I have disabled the mandatory link up action in linky tools to see if this helps resolve the problem of people not being able to party. PLEASE make sure you include a link back to the party though!***Just common courtesy. Only link up to your Treasure Hunt Thursday post and NOT your blog homepage. Please no advertising. Also be sure to visit at least the link before you and after you to just say Hi! It makes partying all the more fun!

The Nutcracker Market

Every November The Houston Ballet puts on The Nutcracker Market. A divine shopping tradition that you must attend at least once if you live here. I have been three years in a row!
I loved it the past two but this year I was not feeling well so I was not able to enjoy it to the fullest extent. I thought that I would share some pics though that I managed to take with my phone. Mind you they may not be the best because you are not suppose to take pics! Shhhh!;)

This mirror was at one of my favorite booths Paul Michael! Every year they have these gorgeous mirrors and I hope to one day own one!
They also had these plate racks this year. I only took a pic because they reminded me of Kim over at Savvy Southern Style and her new plate rack!:)

I was soo tempted to get one of these iron rods and hanging baskets. They were on my to go back and get list but by that time you could not stir the crowd with a stick so I opted to leave it.

I could not resist getting a pic of these cuties!

I so wanted a better pic of this booth but every time I tried on of the sales people came by. The ivy ball was real!

This was one of my favorite booths this year. I almost bought that music paper wreath down in the corner but my friend and I decided it needed to be larger.

Maggie's is another booth I just adore. They actually have a store location here up in The Woodlands that I need to go and check out. A few years back I purchased a wrought iron chandy for our master bath from them.

And believe it or not after 5 hours of shopping these are the only things I walked away with! I know I really was not feeling well but as The Hubster says I am hard headed and just had to go!;)

Linking up to Wow Us Wednesdays!

Shabby Apple Giveaway Winner!

First off I want to thank each and every one of you for participating! I appreciate all my readers so very much and am excited to be able to offer up some great surprises from time to time.
The winner of The White Rabbit's Time Keeper is Cindy from Dwellings-The Heart Of Your Home! Congrats Cindy! I will be contacting you later today to get your info!:)

I have no idea how to cut and copy the actual widget. I thought I did but when I pasted it on my page it showed the Max number as 100 even though it was set at 39. So I just deleted it and took pic of the actual generator results!:)

As for the next giveaway I promise it will be coming soon but since I have been under the weather and now Oldest I am a tad behind. Having some issues with one of the sponsors so I need to throw together my other giveaway in place of it and then if all works out they will be my last giveaway!
Thanx again!

More Holiday Eye Candy!

Happy Sunday y'all! I hope your weekend is going well. I am recovering from a bought of chest congestion and as you may know that always kicks ya down for a tad bit. This is my second bought with it and I am sure due to the weather not deciding which way it wants to go. Most days it is upper 70s and then two days we will have lower 60s and 30s at night. It is reeking havoc on all of my family.
Anyways, since I have not been doing too much I thought I would share the last pics I have of the Christmas Open House out at The Old Oak Cottage

Also do not forget to enter my Shabby Apple  Giveaway! It ends tomorrow night.
