Farmhouse Christmas Living Room Inspiration-2014

Yesterday I shared one of my most favorite Christmas mantels from back in 2014. Today I thought that I would go ahead and share the rest of the space as well. The tree that year I think was my favorite tree thus far. I think that I am going to try and recreate it next year the best I can. We no longer have the same tree so we shall see.

This year I decided to bring color into our Christmas decor. I combined all the things that I love- farmhouse, french, and vintage.

The silver tinsel garland I was not sure about at first but after placing it on the tree I fell in love. It is just the vintage touch I was looking for and oh how it makes the tree sparkle!

I used many of the same ornaments we already had and added in some new from handmade pipe cleaner candy canes to reproduction Shiny Brite ornaments.

I used DIY candy cane battery operated candles above the tv armoire. On a side note I left these corbels when we sold our house and I am now kicking myself for doing that!

As always Christmas lends a beautiful view from the kitchen while washing dishes.

The tree looks so magical at night! 

I have to admit this time of year I miss our two kitties. It always seemed to be their favorite time of year just like their mama. They would always supervise photo shoots and they LOVED laying in front of the fireplace. We had 14 wonderful years with them and are so thankful for that!
