Over the past week Mr. Front Porch has been out of the country. While he was away I guess you could say this mouse played. LOL. I have been very busy with multiple projects that all had to be complete for holiday decorating. The first was to bring out the trees. Right after Christmas last year I took advantage of online clearance deals and ordered two new trees.
This is a 7.5 ft which is very similar to my beloved Noblis Fir from Grandin Road so when I saw it on clearance for just $75 I had to have it. It took a little work to get it to stay up in the urn. The urn is just a planter I purchased from Walmart back in the summer. It is starting to get an aged chippy patina which is always a plus in my book. |
Along with putting the trees up I also have been busy crafting some bows from red ticking stripe ribbon I found. |
Great buy on those trees! I don't start until the day after Thanksgiving. I am looking for a tree for my bedroom too.
ReplyDeleteI just love having a tree in the bedroom Penny.
DeleteCharming! Lovely! The red ticking ribbon is ahhhhhhh! Thanks for all the photos.
ReplyDeleteThanks you for visiting Mary.
DeleteI love that 4.5 tree, Pamela. Was it also from Grandin Road? I would love to ditch my 7.5 tree for a smaller tree. I am trying to purge things, and going smaller would force me to do it. My daughter came over and took a tub full of things, but it didn't even make a dent in my stash. I need to just donate. It's the dealer in me that keeps me from doing that!
ReplyDeleteHa! I need to go thru all my stuff. I do not even use more than half of it and it is hard to justify buying new when I have bins of old sitting around. The clearance trees both were from Home Depot online last year. I could not believe the good deals they had. I will certainly be checking for them again this year. I need some new ones for the porches.
