Remember back at the end of May when I ripped out our front flower beds and I planted 8 of these beautiful Gardenias? You can see what the beds looked like if you missed it by clicking here. |

I tell ya I fought hard all summer long to keep those darn plants alive. As you can see I lost the battle. |

I was so disappointed but I guess that is how it goes sometimes. I certainly have no clue what I am doing. |

While trying to save the Gardenias I added some spiral shrubs to each side of the entryway. I had been wanting to add some for some time now. |

I am so much happier with how it all came together and I am actually glad the gardenias didn't survive. |

Now everything looks as if there was somebody who knew what they were doing. Sometimes I hit a home run when I just wing it. LOL. |

On another note I just completed the curbside chairs so I can take pics of our fall dining room. It is the only space I think I have fully cozied up for fall so far. Have you started pulling out your pumpkins yet or is it still too hot? It all looks so wonderful! I LOVE the spiral shrubs!!! Can you tell me what type they are? Thanks
ReplyDeleteThanks Angie! I wish I could but I threw away the container that may have had a sticker telling me.
DeleteYour new landscaping looks great! No pumpkins here yet I am waiting until October.
ReplyDeleteThanks Penny. I would like to say I can wait that long but I would never last.
DeleteYour landscaping looks beautiful! Sometimes we have to make a misstep before we find exactly what works and looks good. The spiral shrubs really add interest...I wish now I had looked at something like that for the corner of the garage.
ReplyDeleteThanks Donna. Hubby really didn't want them but I am glad I stuck to my plan.
DeleteHi Pamela,
ReplyDeleteSorry about the gardenias. I do love what you put in their place. It looks lovely. Happy Weekend.
Hugs,
Kris
Thank you Kris. I hope you are having a great weekend as well !
DeleteBeautiful landscape and I love the spiral trees! Can you please tell me where did you find those metal round stacked orbs garden finials? Thanks
ReplyDeleteHi Edna. Thanks for stopping by. I purchased them from Costco back in the spring. They came two to a set, a large one and then a smaller one.
DeletePamela,
ReplyDeleteYour new landscaping looks great. The spiral shrubs are eye-catching and add a little extra French style.
Judith
Thanks Judith! Hope you have a great weekend.
DeleteLooks great! How do you hang your wooden sign on the siding? I'm looking to add one to our porch!
ReplyDeleteHi Michelle G. Thanks for visiting. I just used a screw since I usually have something hanging right there. With hardiplank I had to use a pilot drill hole to enable the screw t get started. That hardiplank is tough stuff.
Deletethat looks great, i love those orbs!
