Welcome to Sundays by The Shore. This week I am sharing a sweet little gem in Salisbury, Ma. It is for sale and not a rental property and you will see just why. |
As soon as I saw the outside of this 1680 Saltbox home I was in love. All I could think about were the many stories it holds! It doesn't sit by the seaside but it does qualify as by the shore. |
It is situated just blocks from the Merrimack River on historic Ring Island. |
The current owners have gone to great lengths to care for and preserve this gem. |
The grounds it sits on are magical in themselves. |
Inside you will find 5 fireplaces with original crown moldings, hardware and wide pine floors. |
The home is beautiful just as it is but I can picture bringing in more of a coastal feel still in keeping with the homes period. |
Oh those wood beams! |
Imagine how many meals were cooked here! |
Love the cupboard in this room. |
American Poetess Edna St. Vincent Milay lived here at the turn of the 20th century. These pictures and more can be found here if interested to learning all about this home. In case you missed it I shared our dining reveal earlier in the week and you can view that here. Hope y'all have a great Sunday! |
Looking at these images reminds me of some old issues of Country Living that I have been recently going through....looks like a very charming town!!
