It is hard to believe that Christmas is only 10 days away! I feel like I am running behind this year but in actuality I am ahead, at least as far as sharing our holiday home is concerned.
It seems I am always sharing on Christmas Eve because I am too busy fussing trying to make it all look perfect. Well this year I am still in the middle of unpacking so I only have a few areas I focused on. Today I would like to invite you into our new home and share with y'all our Christmas mantel. |
The theme this year is The Candy Cane Forest inspired by our tree which I will share in the day or two. I had been wanting to make a Christmas tree sign but just not enough time so when I saw this one at At Home I snagged it. It originally was going to go on the back porch above the fireplace out there but we have yet to even get our patio furniture from storage so no sense in decking the halls out there this year. |
Back in the fall I ordered a few of these pre-lit wreaths from Balsam Hill and I am so glad I did. I love not having to worry about stringing lights thru wreaths. The only thing that would make it better is if it was on a timer. The striped stockings I ordered from Joss & Main last year and never used them. |
I am still deciding on which direction to go with our curtains here at the new house so for now I decided to get a little festive and created panels from inexpensive tablecloths. I love how they look and probably will leave um up thru Valentines Day. |
I did not dig much thru the holiday bins this year because I hated the thought of unpacking things I was just going to have to turn around and pack right back up in a few weeks. I am over packing and unpacking for a VERY long time!:) I did make sure to use some old favorites though like my mama's childhood sled. It makes an appearance every year no matter the theme. |
I placed my favorite Christmas tree in an old milk can from my PopPop. It has always been a favorite in years past. It has ventured from the breakfast nook to the fireplace. |
Thank you for stopping by to visit at the new house! I look forward to inviting y'all in on a regular basis come the new year. I can't wait to show ya more of the new house and all the projects we have in store!
Till then check back because I will be sharing our Candy Cane Forest Christmas Tree soon!
P.s. I have had many inquiries about the source for my carriage house lanterns. I purchased them from DecorSteals a few years back but they offer them still from tim to time as well as Antique Farmhouse. Just keep an eye out for them!:)

ReplyDeleteThank you Elizabeth! I laugh because if you could see all the boxes in the dining room that once was all cleaned up. Ekkk!:)
DeleteLove, love, love your mantel, Pamela! The lit wreath is so cool, I never knew. I like that sign and the cute stockings, too! I am totally with you on unpacking and re-packing. I'm in the middle of decluttering so I went very light on Christmas so I could pack that away easily and then carry on with getting rid of all the 'stuff'!

I thought I did a good job of that before we moved twice but here I am still wanting to get rid of even more. Thanks for visiting Jane! Send some of that snow my way!;)
