First off let me say Happy New Year everyone! I hope that this New year brings only joy and happiness to all. Thank you to each and every one of you who follow along with me and my crazy self.
In the world of blogging it seems you must start your Christmas decorating at the begging of October. I could not bring myself to start until November 1st and I thought I was ahead of the game for once. Ha! The joke was on me. I was getting wrapped up in making everything look just perfect and kept tweaking things till it came down to the wire and I had a choice to make- become a total wild and crazy woman taking pics of the rest of our holiday decor or just sit back, relax, and enjoy things just how they were with my family.
So here is our tree and all the "keeping it real glory" around here!;) |
Jingle Bell jute ribbon I found at Home Goods. Wish I could have found more of it. |
DIY pom pom garland that the boys helped out with. Note to self if ya wanna make some pom pom garland start months in advance and NOT weeks!;) |
I use a mixture of ornaments on our tree and I have to say a lot of my favorites are from the Dollar Store like these red ribbons with vintage looking bells. |
The tree was truly magical this year and I will hate taking it down. |
I just love how cozy our living room looked with the addition of the DIY wood beams. Even though I did not get picture perfect pics of the space I have to say it truly was just perfect! Absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeletePamela- your tree was lovely! I feel ya - I always host Thanksgiving so literally can't /shouldn't decorate till the day after, and by the time I get it done I am swamped with baking, entertaining, church, gifts, cards, etc. - so for the last few years haven't even blogged about my Christmas decor. This year was my most favorite, but alas, most of it is put away for another year now.....don't put away nativity or tree till after Epiphany, which is tomorrow, so come Monday the rest of the holiday stuff goes - I am now in "winter" decorating - snow, white, silver, colorless.......it's pretty but sparse.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Beautiful Pamela :)
ReplyDeleteSadly due to time constraints and scheduling our trees were taken do yesterday :/While the Mr. and boys were out doing 'manly stuffs' I undecorated 5 trees , wrapped and stored all décor and placed everything nicely in the garage for them to put away. Rearranged the rooms and made a nice Southern traditional new years meal of black eyed peas, green bread. I was done for by 8pm!!
Your pics ARE "picture perfect" and I'm sure your Christmas was too. Your tree/room look wonderful! I love seeing pics of Christmas décor AFTER Christmas as there is more time to take it all in when we aren't so busy and also there isn't so many "home tours" going on. Thanks for sharing now!
ReplyDeleteYour tree looks gorgeous Pamela. Glad you chose the chillaxin and family towards the end of the holiday. Love that ribbon you found at Home Goods too. Very cute. Happy Sunday.
