Our Half Bath

Happy Labor Day all! I hope everybody is having a great day with friends and family. We are just hanging out  here at the house and well one thing led to another and I am in the middle of yet another project.
This is our tiny half bath. Sorry for the poor pics. It is very hard to get good pics of this space because it is so small. The bath use to all be the brownish color but a few years back I added the blue wall to try and brighten things up in here since there is no window.

I had also changed the light fixture out from the builders grade. Even with the changes I have not loved this space.
So today I decide instead of hemming and hawing about what I was going to do to the space I was just going to do it. First came the mirror. Seems they put it up before they painted in here. Not surprising.
Then I spent 15 minutes taking this bird decal off the wall. I still have one more to go.
I have gotten a bit further so be sure to stop back later in the week.

  1. Our powder room and main bathroom are on my list of painting/styling too. I just finished painting the ceilings white and now need to patch the walls and pick a colour. I'll be looking forward to yours for inspiration.

  3. Pamela, I had to laugh at this post. I was trying to work on a post for the powder bath just last week. I had a heck of a time trying to get good pics. Needless to say, I'm still working on it! I'm excited to see your changes.

  4. Seeing that being painted around the mirror drives me crazy. That is exactly what is wrong with our builders today; they dont take the time to do things right. Cant wait to see how you do it, but at least it will be done right!

  5. Can't wait to see the changes. I am now working on my hall bath...It is a challenge trying to take photos in a room that does not have windows, I am experiencing the same!!!

  6. I think those small spaces are the hardest ones to deal with sometimes. Blessings- xo Diana

  7. I'm curious to see what you do in here now, Pamela. I am happy with our main/guest bathroom, but I'd love to at least frame out our mirror in the master bath. It is so long though, so I will probably have to work on hubby to do it as a DIY with moldings. Neither of my bathrooms have windows {which I really miss!}.
