| I shared this antique lamp last week that I purchased back in November when antiquing with my mama. It is the one lamp that is staying in the room. Yes, the gold mirror is from last week as well waiting to be made over like its twin or triplet in this case. Anyways, I am trying to figure out what style of lamp to do for the other bedside table. |

| Went to Target today and found this lamp on clearance so I decided to bring it home to test it out. It was only $35 which is a far cry from the $129 PB wants for theirs. |

| Keep in mind only one of the mirrors will be staying. I am wanting to do some smaller vintage mirrors on the wall where the lamp in question goes. |

| Which brings me to this chandy that The Papa rewired for me. I love it but am torn on what way to go. If I chose this one should I hang it from a hook in the ceiling or should I hang it from an iron bracket attached to the side wall?? I have my two faves from this bunch. What one would you choose? ReplyDeleteI love the chandelier but would like to see 2 on either side of the bed. Like the idea of hanging that on a wall instead. I love the desk lamp from Home Goods (I have two target ones on my girls desks in my sun room) but I don't think they cast enough light in the room (if they are your only source of lighting). I really like your antique light! Decisions, decisions, love them all so go with your fave!

I like them all, but your antique lamp is my favorite, then the chandelier and the one with your kitty in the picture...the silver one. You always do such a good job decorating your home, so I'm sure it will be beautiful when you are finished!
ReplyDeleteI would hang the chandy from the ceiling. I like the HG lamp (I bought it in ORB) better than the Target one. Should be fun when it all comes together.

The Chandy is my vote. If you want it to be low like the other lamp I say hang from a hook on the wall but if it is going to be up a little higher than hang it from the ceiling. I too love the white bedding. Can't wait to see what you decide.

Your options are all nice, Pamela. That's a toughie. I love the lamp you have on the one side with the script shade, but I think either of the other two would work on the other side. I like the silver in both that picks up in the silver on the other one; and the one with the silver and wood ties in the other lamp and your wood side tables.
ReplyDeleteThe chandy I might hang from the ceiling {with a hook} so it hangs over a seating area or, if you have a ceiling fixture in the middle of your room, just hanging there {as long as you wouldn't hit your heads or anything}. : )
I would hang Chandy in corner, with mirror on wall to reflect the chandy. I'd make sure to hang it at a height pleasing for reading. I think the glass lamp would compliment the chandy, using it on the larger nightstand. Perhaps with a live plant -maybe in a silver Paul Revere bowl?
ReplyDeleteI love all of your choices! Your bedding looks so pretty and I like the direction you're taking this room. I would hang the chandelier in the middle of the room over the bed if that was possible and then use a lamp on each bedside table. I like the mix.
