Sneak Peek

Been a busy week trying to get the boys ready for back to school on Monday! It is hard to believe that summer is already over. This evening we went to Panther Camp...aka Open House...and met the boys teachers. The past two years we have been so blessed to have had two rocking teachers! Their pride in teaching and desire to make learning fun was quite apparent the moment you walked into their class rooms. This year not so much on the apparent side though both teachers seem very nice.
Littliest will be going to  Kindergarten and lets just say he might as well be attending class in a cement box. It was literally that exciting y'all! I almost wanted to cry. There was not one fun thing about his class room what so ever and I just think that is a tragedy. Kids that age already have such a hard time leaving their mama's that they need to have a fun and exciting room to great them every day. I think I may just  have to sneak in there one day and do some decorating y'all!;)

On a differ note today instead of heading out to HobLob to get a few things I needed I worked on finishing up the new armoire.

I am 98.9% completed. I am thinking I may be changing the inside color so you will have to just wait for the big reveal!:)
Last but not least wish me luck for tomorrow! It is my first day on the job at The Old Oak Cottage! I know it will be fun but it will be so different. I have not worked outside the home in 7 years y'all! Yikes! I am truly blessed though because I do not think I could have found a better part time job! Thanx Marci for the opportunity!
Hope y'all have a fabulous weekend! Enjoy your family and friends and stay cool! The car read 100 at 7:45 pm!! Please Fall find your way to us soon!!
Also before I forget thanx for all the Anniversary well wishes!! Y'all rock!

  3. I don't know, Pamela; I think if i worked there I'd be spending my paycheck before I walked out the door! Those chairs and the ottoman are gorgeous! Plus, I like the clock and I'll bet I could find at least 10 other things I'd want. Good luck! I'm sure you'll be fine and enjoy yourself.

I love what I see of the armoire so far. I would love to start that darn headboard I got before we move. This way it can go straight into the master when we get there and be all set up with the bed.

  5. How exciting to get to work in that store. The picture is gorgeous. I think Kathy is right, I would be spending my pay check at work. Good luck with the kids first day of school. So sad the kindergarten teacher didn't make the room more fun for the kids.

  6. Congrats on the new job! It sounds like you will love it.

I always find this time of year sad. I was ready for my kids to go back to school but I missed them. So I started planning thing I wanted to do for the first few days they were in school. My youngest is 20 but he and his friends have been hanging out here all summer so I am using a gift certificate a friend gave me to treat myself to a facial and pedicure.
I hope your "first day at school" goes well.
