Welcome, so glad you decided to stop by! I am joining in on several linky parties this week because I am soo excited to share with y'all my laundry room. Why my laundry room you may be wondering!? Because it is the keeper of a fabulous piece I just finished giving new life to! If ya wanna see how our laundry room looked like before you can go here. It is quite a transformation on a very little budget and with really very little effort involved. |
This is my fave doorstop ever! I purchased it at HobLob in the clearance isle sometime last year. I think I paid all of $3 for it. |
Loving my lil' trey. I still need to make a label for the detergent though. |
Even though the top shows sooo much wear and tear I decided to just sand it down and re stain it with some walnut stain. I wanted to keep some of its old charm. |
I decided on the bottom to do a contrasting knob. They are very heavy and a steal at just $2.50 a knob! Not quite sure why the lady was not grabbing these up but glad she left um alone!;) |
So there ya have it y'all! A tour of my laundry room and newest revamped addition! I can not tell you how much I am LOVING the dresser in here!! I literally do abt two loads a day now! Well okay I do one load and fold it while the next dries and waits to be folded till the next day. So I guess one and half loads!;) Thanx for stopping by and be sure to pay a visit to the wonderful Linky parties I have joined in on! I am sure I will be adding a few more by weeks end!;) Between Naps On The Porch-Metamorphosis Monday Savvy Southern Style- Boring To Better Party French Country Cottage- Feathered Nest Friday Southern In My Heart- Inspiration Friday Miss Mustard Seed- Furniture Feature Friday Kelly's Korner- Show Us Your Life Friday Funky Junk Interiors- Saturday Nite Special |
Love the little chest of drawers in your laundry room and how you redid it.
ReplyDeleteThis looks great, Pamela! I love it! It fitst that spot so well, too. Love the color, love that you left the top stained {it does make for a nice contrast} and love the knobs. Nice job!
ReplyDeleteOh, Pamela, I love this wonderful transformation. I would love to laundry in this beautiful room, too. Love, love, love the yellow chest makeover. You are quite good, my lady! I am loving this so much because I am in the ugly before stage and have got to tackle that room. It is quite pathetic. You are pushing me in that direction for sure. I have guests next week and then Christmas decorating, but maybe I can squeezed some time in somewhere. I have the cat box problem, too, but it has to stay since my cat is getting quite old and will not be able to go to a place further away. Thanks so much for sharing this!
ReplyDeleteI love your laundry room. I've been looking for a solution to my hanger problem, and you just solved it with those wonderful Hobby Lobby racks. I love the vignette above your shelf, and my favorite vinyl saying is laundry today or naked tomorrow!!
ReplyDeleteBravo!
:)

Oh my wonderful Pam!! I love it! That dresser is absolutely gorgeous! You did a beautiful job on it! I am loving the idea for the drying rack, great idea!!! I could do laundry all day in that room!:)
ReplyDeleteHi Pamela - Before I place an order with HL, would you mind telling me how deep the dryer rack thingies are (from the wall to the bar)? Are they sturdy enough to hang several items at a time on? I'd like to use them to hang my clothes on hangers as I pull them out of the dryer.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your help!
:)

Wow, Pamela! How in the world did you have a 3-day turnaround time on that?! Your laundry room is too pretty to do laundry in, that's for sure! It's almost like a mini-retreat...and I bet it smells like Tide or some other yummy deliciousness. GORGEOUS. Can you come do my house??? We need help!
ReplyDeleteWhat a darling laundry room! I love that you put a tray with the lamp on your dryer! Our dryer is always used for folding space so it probably wouldn't go over very well at my house but I love the idea!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE LOVE LOVE your new dresser. There is a dresser very similar to yours that belonged to my grandparents. When asked what I'd like to have I asked for that dresser. For now my Aunt has it. Which is FINE! I'm glad she has it but I'm still hoping one of these days it will get passed along to me. Your's turned out beautifully!
And perfect for your space.
Enjoy your new laundry room!
Hi Pamela! I'm so glad you popped in to see me and gave me the chance to come and see your laundry room! It's beautiful! I'm in love with your dresser! I'm looking for something just like this! Oh my goodness, what a fab room! I'm terribly envious since I only have a laundry closet, but at least it's inside & not in the garage. Mine has wire shelves, but I did hang a couple of pictures & have a small bouquet of silk flowers. Hard to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear, but I tried. You really did an awesome job on your laundry facility.
ReplyDeleteCAS
OMG! I would not hide that piece in the laundry! That has to be on display! Great job.

That re-done dresser is a cute addition to your cozy laundry room. Mine stays looking nice like yours for about one day a week! Cleaning day. LOL The rest of the time, it is full of stuff! Your paint job turned out very nice- I like the glazed buttery yellow. Stopping by from Vanessa's party. :-)
ReplyDeleteSue
Pam, this laundry room must be the envy of all the neighborhood. You did a fantastic job. The dresser too, is just amazing, I think that piece would sell for a small fortune in a shop. I have the pleasure of stopping over from Vanessa's link party, to say...Well Done! xoxo tami

It is perfect for your space- love everything you did- well done!! Thanks so much for sharing at Feathered Nest Friday this week!! :)
Pamela!!!! That looks so amazing! Truly beautiful! The cabinet is unreal and you should be so proud of yourself! How many more exclamation points do you think I could use??!! :-) Thanks so much for linking this up to the party this week!

I absolutely LOVE your dresser , you did an amazing job. Just wondering. What colour did you paint the walls of the room? It's very comforting.
ReplyDeleteYou are just the inspiration that I need to get started on my laundry room. Yours looks fabulous. And a $3.oo rooster door stop? I am so jealous.:) And that dresser, I don't even know how to describe it. My mouth dropped when I saw it. It rocks!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat transformation....really like the yellow chest. Yellow is always so cheerful.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful laundry room. For those that have the room for a sink but don't find the need for one, this dress redo is the perfect solution. I think it all came out stunning. What a pleasure to be in there doing LAUNDRY! thanks for sharing, Terry

ReplyDeleteLooks fantastic!! I really need to dry glazing something but I'm scared its not going to turn out good..
ReplyDeleteYours is perfect!!
I don't believe that dresser could be any more perfect....well, IF it were mine it would be! I have a dresser VERY similar to it and have wanted to paint it for a long time. I LOVE the look and may do that sometime during this long winter.
ReplyDeleteI am absolutely LOVING your laundry room! It's every bit of what I dream of when I have a house of my own one day! Great Job~
ReplyDeleteLove your laundry room! The dresser you redid is great. I have one that I really should get done soon, it has been in our house waiting for quite some time, more like a couple of years.
