When I saw this cabinet I knew it was going to be the perfect piece for our master bathroom makeover. It just needed a little updating for it to work in our space. |
The original coloring was a cream. I updated it with a white finish along with Paris Gray washed sides. |
I highlighted the window panes with Paris gray. |
Next up was the biggest change. I gave the door a faux vintage mirror look with Looking Glass spray paint and gold spray paint. You can purchase the looking glass paint at any craft store. I lucked up on a can when I was at Walmart. I did a tutorial a few years ago on the technique I used. You can read all about it in here. |
Here is a quick pic I took before we installed the cabinet. The lights are up and the new cabinet hardware along with mirrors. I will share close ups of the new hardware in the reveal post. |
Oh wow, this is going to be so fabulous. What great storage. I love it.
ReplyDeleteThank you Marty! We do not have medicine cabinets so this is going to work wonders.
DeleteGREAT idea - oh this is going to be fastastic!
ReplyDeleteVery clever of you to have that vision!
Can't wait for your full reveal.
Thanks Michele! Hubby sometimes wonders about my ideas but in the end he likes them.
DeleteI love this. Really creative by cutting off the legs and using it on the counter.
ReplyDeleteThanks Vicki. The legs actually screw off so I have them saved in case we ever decide to take the cabinet down. It is only secured to the wall by screws into the stud.
DeleteLooks great!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ron. Love that you stop by to visit!
DeleteWow! The makeover is looking great. Love that cabinet!
ReplyDeleteThanks Penny! Means a lot my friend.
DeleteYou did a beautiful job. It looks so elegant on the bathroom counter top. Especially like your darling assistant! Is it a Doxie? Love those dogs. We've had 4 and still miss them.
ReplyDeleteHi Bev. Thanks for stopping by for a visit and your sweet comments. Yes, our Savannah is a Doxie. She was suppose to be a mini but ends up she is a tweenie. We just love her to pieces! I can understand missing your fur babies. Savannah had an older brother and sister that we lost about three years ago within 6 months of each other. They were our first fur babies and I still miss them dearly. They were kitties.
DeleteOh my I love it!...and love that you treated the glass with the Looking glass spray!....Looks fantastic on the vanity!!! Have a great weekend Pamela!
