One HUGE Project.

My name is Savannah Jane and I am a Dachshund. I came to my new home last Saturday on my mom and dads 11th anniversary. My mom thinks she lost her mind when she agreed to bring me home. It is a good thing I am cute!;) Mom thinks I am way more work than a real baby.
I am truly loved by everybody though. This is one of my big bros and even though he loves cats he has decided I am just as good.
This is my other big bro and he LOVES me to pieces. He has been wanting a dog forever it seems so when we met it was love at first site. He does a super job helping mom take care of me and taking me out for potty breaks. Mom doesn't know what she is going to do with me all day once my brothers go back to school on Monday.
I love to hang with my mom even when she is on FaceBook or blogging.
Taking naps its one of my favorite past times for sure.
My sister has decided that I am okay as long as I don't hop at her. Yes, I hop especially when I get excited. Mom thinks it is too cute. My brother Max refuses to come in the room if he knows I am out. Hopefully he will come around soon.
My dad is the best! I can be sound asleep and when I hear his key in the door at night I wake right up and go crazy till he picks me up.
I am one lucky pup that is for sure! The vet told mom they have no idea how big I will get. She is hoping I am a miniature and stay on the small side. Right now I am only 2.9 pounds at 8 weeks old.
Did I mention that I am already just a tad spoiled?

Treasure Hunt Thursday #70 & Highlights

Welcome to Treasure Hunt Thursday #70!! I have decided that if I can I will just begin THT on Wednesdays from now on since y'all seem to enjoy coming a day early. So many new faces every week and we just keep growing so thank you!

This week has been a busy week. I am fighting a cold and trying to get the boys ready for back to school as well as taking on a project that is going to take me weeks. I must have been out of my mind when I agreed to it. I will share that project soon.
Tuula joined us for the first time last week from over at Thrifty Rebel. She shared with us how she makes these cool garden plate flowers!
It's Just Me shared her $20 cabinet make over. I love how it turned out!
Curb Alert showed us how she updated her foyer with these fabulous red shutters! I am seeing more and more red these days. I think it may be making its come back.
Marty's Musings shared with us this amazing table her hubby made with an old window!
Ewe Creek Cottage shared with us how she made this awesome rooster picture. Ya know I love me a good roo!
As always thank you to all who partied last week! I am so truly honored to have such talent partying at my place! If you were featured please feel free to grab the "I've Been Featured" button!:) I have the newly updated button with html code on my sidebar!

What would be a HUGE help and encourage more comments not just from me but others as well would be for everybody to take off their required verification codes for leaving a comment. This seems to take just a few seconds of time but when you have to do it on 30 or more blogs it takes up a TON of time. Last week most everybody had turned off their Word Verification which made it so much easier for me to stop by everybody's links! Thank you!

READ THE RULES PLEASE!:)
Now on to this weeks party!
As with all parties there are the normal rules. You must link back to From My Front Porch To Yours in your THT POST. Just common courtesy. If ya don't link back ya don't get to party. Only link up to your Treasure Hunt Thursday post and NOT your blog homepage. Please No advertising and PLEASE NO MORE than 3 links from the SAME party goer. Also NO MORE linking up to your own link parties. I am seeing more and more link ups of just people promoting their own linky parties. I know it takes time to go back and make a separate post to join the party but it is just the polite thing to do. If you find your post deleted it is not because I am a meany, I just have to make sure the rules are being followed. You can save some of your posts for the following weeks party! Please only link up new posts and not posts that you linked up the week before. Also be sure to visit at least the link before you and after you to just say Hi! It makes partying all the more fun! If you are new around here I would love it if ya become a follower!:)

French Country Hutch Reveal

I can mark another project off my list now. I finished the hutch I purchased a few weeks back.
Here is the before pic and honestly it was just fine the way it was but I had a different vision for it.
The Hubster kindly helped me take out the top shelf because I knew I was going to want to do taller displays.

The back was originally going to stay wood but one thing led to another and it got painted and distressed. Even though painting the back was not in my original vision I really like how it turned out.
I really do not regret one bit knocking that shelf out.

I always try and save the original hardware. They  help make the piece I think.

I have already started the process of taking our buffet out of the dining room to make room for the finished hutch. I will be sure to share once it is all set up.
I am crossing my fingers it will look good in our dining room because I just love it!

Linking up to the following linky parties:
Metamorphosis Monday
Nifty Thrifty Tuesday
Tabletop Tuesday
Wow Us Wednesdays
Furniture Feature Friday

Cow Girl Up Party
Mod Vintage Life

Feathered Nest Friday
