Treasure Hunt Thursday #63 & Highlights

Hello everybody and welcome to THT #63! What a fabulous turnout we had last week. There were soooo many fabulous link ups and I want to thank you. Things have been crazy busy around here with projects and boys and summer so I enjoyed stopping by and visiting with y'all.

One More Time To Celebrate shared a tutorial on how to make this beautiful succulent wreath.

The gals over at Be Book Bound shared their fabulous lemonade stand.

Dewdrop Gardens shared what she did with an old side table. I love this idea!

And speaking of furniture Storywood Designs shared their makeover of a vintage radio cabinet. Be sure to stop by and view her before and after!

As always thank you to all who partied last week! I am so truly honored to have such talent partying at my place! If you were featured please feel free to grab the "I've Been Featured" button!:) I have the newly updated button with html code on my sidebar!

What would be a HUGE help and encourage more comments not just from me but others as well would be for everybody to take off their required verification codes for leaving a comment. This seems to take just a few seconds of time but when you have to do it on 30 or more blogs it takes up a TON of time. Last week most everybody had turned off their Word Verification which made it so much easier for me to stop by everybody's links! Thank you!

READ THE RULES PLEASE!:)
Now on to this weeks party!
As with all parties there are the normal rules. You must link back to From My Front Porch To Yours in your THT POST. Just common courtesy. If ya don't link back ya don't get to party. Only link up to your Treasure Hunt Thursday post and NOT your blog homepage. Please No advertising and PLEASE NO MORE than 3 links from the SAME party goer. Also NO MORE linking up to your own link parties. I am seeing more and more link ups of just people promoting their own linky parties. I know it takes time to go back and make a separate post to join the party but it is just the polite thing to do. If you find your post deleted it is not because I am a meany, I just have to make sure the rules are being followed. You can save some of your posts for the following weeks party! Please only link up new posts and not posts that you linked up the week before. Also be sure to visit at least the link before you and after you to just say Hi! It makes partying all the more fun! If you are new around here I would love it if ya become a follower!:)

Ellen's Timeless Treasures

The boys and I had to run a few errands today and while we were out we stopped off at Ellen's Timeless Treasures.

It is a quaint shop where there is something for everybody, new and old.

I love this french country dining set and can picture it all painted up.

The boys liked this vintage Mickey Mouse phone.

Ellen rents rooms out and this vendor had their room all decked out.

Annette has just finished up this beauty and put it in her space. I am sure it won't last long!

I love that vintage silver plated tea set.

This I can picture as a kitchen island.

A fabulous idea for an old ladder!

Even more eye candy. Can you find what I fell in love with in this space?

If you guessed the ornate desk you would be right! I LOVE this desk and am still trying to figure out how I could possibly get it for The Hubster. He wanted to keep the frenchy desk I had recently redone but it was too small. This one is the perfect size.

So I didn't come home with the desk and there were so many items I did want but all I brought home was this old drawer. I have no idea what I will be doing with it but I am sure I will find a use for it soon.

If you are local and on the hunt for quaint little shops and want to help support local vendors be sure to stop by Ellen's!

A Little Tired

This past week I was on a mission to get as many projects completed as possible. I needed to also restock my little space at The Old Oak Cottage.
This side table had been out in the garage for months just waiting to get a make over.

I was wanting to stain the top but there was no way it was going to work out. There was too much damage to the top.

I had so many ideas on how I wanted to paint it but I just decided to let those go. I went simple. Thats why it takes me forever to do my pieces because I have so many ideas in my head and I can never decided on which one I want to attempt.

Here it is in my space.

This shelf my mama gave to me because she didn't sell it in her yard sale.It gave a little make over.

Its a wonder what a little paint can do.

These little cherub shelves received a custom paint job as well.

I also updated this french frame. I have had it for years. It went from black to yellow to white and then waxed with dark wax all over. I decided to lighten it back up with some more white and made art work out of it with a burlap feed sack I had.

It received many compliments when I took it in and one lady said that she was going to sleep on it and come back by the next day with her mama to look at it.

I also one night this past week staid up till the wee hours painting this mirror.

I didn't get any real good pictures of it but you can kinda see gold showing thru in spots.

Here it is in my space.

And here is my space restocked.

This piece never made it into my space!:)

So yep, I have been super busy. I am hoping to have the side tables finished this week some time and to start on the french armoire which I am still trying to figure out where on earth we can put it in our house. If I end up selling it I think I will cry when it leaves.

Hope all is well and thanx for stopping by!
