Home Office
Hope everybody's Tuesday is going well! Still sending prayers for those who were effected by the terrible storms last week. We have bad weather heading in on Thursday and they are predicting almost an entire week of rain for us in South East Tx. The yards have just now started drying out from the last rains we had but I guess after last years drought we can not complain.
Today I am going to share a room in our house that I have not shared in quite some time. I know I have not shared it since we redid the floors last spring.
Welcome to our home office. This is the view you see when you walk in the front door. |
This is the view when you look to the left. How many of you guessed this was the room the frenchy chairs ended up in? Probably only few who have been following me awhile would have known. |
My assistant is gauging the lighting and making sure I don't forget a shot!;) If you want to see the Before of this room you clan click HERE. That post will even show you how I transformed these $50 bookcases! |
The chairs are right at home in here and thus I am now not in any rush to change out the fabric on them though I do wish they were lighter. |
I love the three little windows here. |
And of course I could not have a room without something from HomeGoods in it!;) As soon as I saw this wall piece it had to come home with me. The letter F was actually an E. For some reason Kirklands does not carry many items with the initial F for some reason so I had to make due. So there is our home office and believe it or not it all came together for less than $500 if you do not count the new addition of the frenchy chairs and yes, I know those chairs are actually called Louis XV Chairs but I just like saying frenchy!;) Thanx for stopping by! Oh and if you wanna learn more about the paint treatment I used on the walls yo can click HERE. Linking up to the following Linky Parties: See ya back here tomorrow evening for Treasure Hunt Thursday! |

Frenchy Chair Loving
Those of you who have been following me for awhile now know that I just love anything French/French Country. I am on a mission to make our home into a french chateau on a SAHM budget.
I have been dreaming of bringing home some frenchy chairs like these. I just have not ever been able to come to terms with the prices everybody was wanting for these fabulous pieces. |
Every time I see one my heart goes pitter pat. This particular chair was $399! I LOVED the toile fabric on it. |
I actually had caught a glimpse of it in the background of the picture of the item I was going to pick up. The lady was moving across country and was selling pretty much everything. |
She told me she was not parting with these beautiful chairs. Well I went back to see her the next day to decide on whether I wanted a few of her decorative items. |

All Because Of A Sign
I purchased this adorable sign a few weeks back at HomeGoods. I knew as soon as I saw it it was meant to come home with me! I had the perfect spot that was in desperate need of a makeover. |
So I brought out this shabby old table I have had that has seen better days but is just oh so cute. I need to figure out how to fix that crack but for now it will just get a makeover. |
I busted out my CeCe Caldwell & Annie Sloan paints and just dry brushed three different colors on till I got the look I was going for. Then I wiped it down with a damp paper towel. |
The top I took the sander to. |
It fit perfectly in my vintage silver pitcher. The little bunnies I purchased out at the cottage a few days back. They had just come in and were too stinking cute to leave behind. |
I pulled out my grapevine wreath for the final touch. |
