I forgot!

Opps! Awhile back I received an email from CSN Stores telling me that they have chosen me to be a Preferred Blogger since I had hosted a give away with them not too long ago. How could I have forgotten abt this email!!??? Thankfully I hopped over to Gourmet Meal For Less and Heather is hosting a give away for CSN Stores. Hop on over for a chance to win a $40 gift certificate for anything on their sites!! Anyways, her post reminded me that I needed to do my initial post for my review!! Silly me!

If you have been following my ramblings ya know by now I have busy working on my dining room. Wouldn't ya know that CSN Stores had a site specifically just for dining rooms! I could get lost on that site and have! Here are a few of my fave finds of theirs.

Check this beauty out! This is the most gorgeous buffet I have ever seen! I love the color and the iron scroll work.

This kitchen island is a dream as well. If only I had enough room in my kitchen for it.

This china hutch is along the same lines as the buffet. I think it is just scrumptious.

Now this is more along my budget. It is simple but still has that rustic feel to it without being too over powering.

Head on over to CSN Store Dining Rooms Direct and spend a little time drooling! Be sure to also check back and see what I pick from their sites to do a review on! The possibilities are limitless....that is as long as it does not cost more than $40 ha!

Oldest has been under the weather this week. He has some mystery disease I guess. We have been to the doctors three times. Once on Monday because he was complaining that his ears hurt. Nothing wrong with them. Then Tuesday afternoon he broke out into a rash, said his lips were burning and his eyes. Sounds like an allergic reaction to what we have no idea because NOTHING had changed but I started him on Benydryl anyways. Wed his face was very puffy and red rash still present and he would complain that his back hurt and he was feeling prickly. During this entire time he acted and still acts normal. He eats, sleeps, plays, and well you know the rest. Nothing has changed other than he looked bad and had episodes of prickling.

Thursday morning he woke and looked normal again to only two hours later start all up again while we were out buying his school supply pack. Great. So yesterday afternoon we went to the doc. We would have gone sooner but they were booked solid. It is back to school time. Anyways, doc thought maybe strep. Sounded like strep even though no fever or lack of anything. Does have a swollen lymph node behind his ear. Oldest still acting normal. Throat culture came back negative. He said to keep Oldest on Benydryl.

Oldest woke this morning and was 100% fine other than a little rashy. We went out to pick up his student packet at the new school which btw is awesome even if there is no play ground yet but I digress. On the way back to the car we had to stop because his entire body was prickling and hurt. It stopped and so we went on to Target. Had a bite for lunch and was walking around and he had two episodes while we were there. I started to think maybe he was bitten by something and that the poison was slowly taking over his nervous system or something like that because again I have been known to think the worse. Came home and found a small blister on his thigh. Called the doc and they were full of course so we ran up to the ER on the corner. It is not in a hospital but in a shopping strip but still certified as an ER. Anyways, they looked and said no no bite but no idea what was wrong with Oldest. They gave him some Prednizone which I was not crazy abt and some Benydryl and sent us on our way.
URGH, I just want to know what is wrong with my kid but apparently that is too much to ask!!

That has been my life this week. The best thing though out of all of this is my kid! He is truly the best and I love him soo much! Last night he went to bed at 8 well because he was not answering to our requests in the most appropriate manner even after being told how to have respect. He was very restless and tossed and turned up till abt midnight. He woke and said he leg hurt which is nothing new cause he gets growing pains something awful. Anyways, I let him get up and take some medicine and then he laid on the couch and watched House Hunters with me. I was hoping he would get tired and fall back to sleep. Nope. That was fine though cause we had a ball. He would comment on each of the houses and we would vote on which one they would pick. Then out of the blue he was lying there and said "I wish cats wore underwear!". It was the funniest thing ever and we could not stop laughing.

The next episode they were in Destin which is near where we love to vacation and we started talking abt how one day we hope to have a condo there and that I hoped that him and Littliest would bring their families to vacation with us. He said that would be great but said if his kids did not listen they would not be allowed to come. Wonder where he got that from!?Ha! Then he said he would love to go to the beach because then him and Littliest along with The Hubster and Papa could all go to the bar and have a beer while the ladies stay behind with the kids. I have NO idea where he got that from. Yes a beer is had while at the beach but only at dinner every now and then. In no way has The Hubster nor Papa ever been bar hopping. At least not that I know of!HA! I just thought he was just sooo funny and I was so thankful to have had that special time with him even if it was after midnight and he should have been in bed fast asleep.

Hope your week has been going more smoothly than ours and that you have also enjoyed some special moments with family and friends!

Thankful Tuesday

I decided after The Hubster said I was always soo negative all the time that I would bring back a feature I first did on my original blog. Thankful Tuesday is when I would list ten things I was thankful for that week. I think this time around even though I can think of ten I will limit my list to just five so ya'll can join along as well in the comments! That is if ya want to. You don't even have to list five just one will do. If enough of ya comment I may start having a Thankful Tuesday linky party.
What am I thankful for this week?

1. I am thankful that Oldest and Littliest are the best of buds...most of the time. I am praying that this continues for like ever!

2. I am thankful that I had a wonderful summer to spend with my boys. We enjoyed many outings to the pool and had such a great time. Littliest even created a new jump called The Twisty Pickle. I'm telling ya'll he is a hoot and a half.

3. I am ever so grateful that I have two lil' boys who love their mama so very much! Yesterday after a stressful Monday I broke down in tears while telling The Hubster abt it and Oldest came over and rubbed my arm the entire time and told me it was going to be okay.He is truly my sweetie of all sweeties! I pray that continues like forever too!

4. I am thankful for my friends and all of my bloggy friends! Sometimes you make friends in the darndest places when you least expect it and just recently I realized what a super friend an old customer of mine has become. You know who you are chica!;)

5. Last but not least I am thankful for The Hubster who not only works hard for us but also puts up with my many treasure hunts now without even a whine! Just this evening after a long day of work he hopped in Rubby...aka his baby....and took me to go look at this....

I saw it last week and thought it was very intriguing. I figured it had to have been something to do with a radio and after visiting Vintage Home my suspicions were confirmed. Cathleen had redone one and it is gorgeous! She sold it for $150!!

Mine needs some work and I was not sure if the fella was gonna accept my offer or not. He was asking $40 but had it listed since March. I offered $25 and was ready to walk if he said no cause there are always more treasures around the corner! He accepted and the loving Hubster helped load her up. What will she become? Maybe a tv cabinet in the guest room , which is what they used her for, or maybe a wine rack in the dining room or maybe even a fabulous cabinet for my sewing room. Who knows just add her to my never ending list!;)
Thank you hubby for putting up with me!

Working on....

Nope not a redo project or hanging curtains or anything like that. A wonderful give away that is what I am working on!:) Can you guess what it might entail? Stay tuned for more details coming soon! Oh and if anybody does buttons and would like to trade a button for say a bib or a key fob or something let me know. I sooooo would LOVE a button but I am sooooo computer challenged it ain't' funny ya'll! Ha!
Hope your week is starting off on a good note. Taking Oldest in for possible ear infection and Littliest in for some mystery skin disease that he use to have one his foot but magically cleared up after 6 months just like the doc said it would and has been gone for four months but now is back in two places on his leg. At least that is what I am thinking it is and sooo not looking forward to 6 months of this no baths thinking he may have some type of flesh eating bacteria that will one day take over his entire body. Yes, that is truly the way I think and yes I have been known on more than several occasions to think the worse instead of finding the silver lining. The Hubster says I am a "my glass is half empty and soon I will run out and the world will end because there is nothing else for us to drink and we will thirst to death" kinda gal. I don't think that to be true but he does.
Have a good one ya'll!
