Show Us Where You Live Friday

Hey ya all! I have sooo many things to post abt this week but sadly enough I have no idea where the cord is to download my pics from my camera of projects that I have worked on. My absolute favorite being the new mistreatments in the living room! Since that will have to wait I am joining back in on the fun over at Kelly's Korner. This week is birthday parties. With a 5 yr old and a 3 yr old we have had many parties. My favorite of course are their first birthdays.

Oldest's first birthday was a farm theme. I had found the cutest Little People Farm cake up at the Kroger. The plates and napkins and what not I ordered all off the computer. There are many more farm themes to choose from these days since this was almost 6 yrs ago. I made the little goodies bags and for the life of me I have no idea what I put in them except for some chocolate chip cookies that I made with a farm animal muffin pan that I also found on the web. His invites were adorable as well and if I find the pic of them I will attach it.

Sorry deleted pic.
Here is my first born having a pre party snack in his birthday cow bib I made for him. They grow up way to fast ya all! It brings tears to my eyes to think he will be 6 in a blink of an eye. I remember it like it was yesterday. The high chair he is sitting in was his daddies! It is in the attic just in case we ever need it again!;)

This is Littliest's first birthday almost 4 yrs ago and I have to say my favorite by far though I wish I could have found frog prince plates and napkins. The cake was made by a local gal here in Tx. The goodie bag was a beach ball that blew up into a frog. I just wrapped um in blue tulle with a ribbon and put um in a bowl.

Here is a close up of the cake. It was super yummy and she did a fantastic job! I wish I was that talented. I had attempted a cow cake for Oldest but that did not work but so hence the Kroger cake.

Here is an up close of Littliest birthday bib I made. I had found the fabric at Joanns and fell in love with it though it was a flannel.I just had to use it. I believe I still have more of it.
Sorry deleted pic.
And there of course is the birthday boy in his finest. He wore his Gymboree frog onesie and frog overalls that day. I loved that group so much that he had multiple sizes to last him for a year. A bit obsessive!? Maybe but he sure was a cutie!

So there are my birthday boys. I have so much fun planning the boys parties and know if we ever have a little girl I would go crazy! I already have a cupcake birthday bib ready! Off to look at everybody else's birthday fun! Have a good one ya all!

That is the theme for today. I have been okay up until today. The in-laws are gone and so is hubby. The boys have moments of good times but so far this week I can not even take them out with them acting like "those" children you try to avoid at the store. Okay maybe not that bad but since my kids are usually very well behaved to me it seems like that. We have spiders galore and we now also have small black ants on the stairs at the baseboards. No big deal really and to be expected since our house was vacant for two years. They are just what some call sugar ants but still they are bugs and belong outside and NOT in my house.
The boxes are dwindling and you can actually walk into and around the office now. I will be working on the game room this afternoon and then really things will be pretty good. Then why do you ask that I feel overwhelmed!? Note screaming child in living room because it is too hard to pick up all the legos thrown about. I feel very displaced right now. Nothing is like I want it  and I have yet to decide on paint. It is funny, this felt like home till our stuff arrived and now it just seems so empty. I know that makes no sense but it is how I feel. I know things can not all be done at once but that does not make me not want it all to be done at once. I want normalcy to return. I want things to be in order and have a place.
So that is my vent today. I am still very grateful to the man above for all the many blessings he has given us and I know that we have it good if all I have to fuss abt are screaming children and disarray! So really thank you Lord for my disarray. Thank you Lord for my screaming children and thank you Lord for our house that will become a home eventually. Thank you Lord!! I am not though grateful for the ants Lord. If you could take care of those that would be great!

Calgon Take Me Away

Well it is day number two here. Just checking in so I do not completely go insane. I am trying to get as much of the house unpacked and good to go before the in laws leave Monday morning. We are soo truly blessed to have them here being so willing to help out. We would not be able to do it without them! The boys have enjoyed having them here as well. I have3 the kitchen 100% done except for some minor decorations that need to go up and the making of the curtains. I am tyring to hold off on hanging stuff in there till I pick a paint color. Last night I stayed up till 2am doing the boys room so they could have some normalcy return to their lives. Today was a little slow going though since i had only abt 2 hrs sleep. I had to run to the grocery store and then later Nana and I worked on almost completing my sewing room which is a little of a challenge since my closet is half the size.
Tomorrow we are focusing on all the stuff we want Papa to do like placing knobs on the cabinets in the kitchen and hanging a few things outside. I also will be tackling our master. That is the largest task of all and the one that I am most dreading now but at least once it is complete I will only have the game room and office left! Oh and the garage of course. I can not stand clutter and it has to get done ASAP. I had everything organized to make the move go more smoothly but the movers undid almost all of that which had me in tears last night. It was the most unorganized move we have had yet. Just plain awful. We have been finding things completely separated from the rest of itself and things that should have been wrapped up were not but yet four pennies were. So far the patio umbrella is broken and the wheels on my cutting table. They must have sat heavy stuff on top of it and it bowed the wheels out.
I must admit even though we were only in our previous nest for 2 yrs and knew all along that we were moving and not staying there that I still got all chocked up when we went to close the door for the final time. She was a beautiful nest and we were blessed and thankful to have been able to spend two years there. Our boys went from being a toddler and a baby to being 5 and 3 and almost a half. When we moved there Littliest had just started talking and now he hardly ever quits.
Pardon me if I am rambling. It is 1 am and I must get to bed. It is the first time in months we have not had to be up by a certain time. Hoepfully everybody will sleep in. Good night ya all!
