Quick & Easy Valentines Day Vignette

From My Front Porch To Yours- Valentines Day Vignette
My original intention was to do a Valentines Day Mantel to share but I just could not pull it together. I normally do not decorate for Valentines Day so I think trying to start out with a big display was the wrong approach. Instead I decided to do a quick and easy Valentines Vignette.

The little shabby table heading into our guest bedroom was the perfect spot for it.

I love incorporating vintage family photos into my decorating. This photo is of my grandparents on their wedding day back in 1948.

I had purchased this beautiful cherub garden statue last year at HomeGoods but had never used it. It was perfect for this vignette.

I made the cute little garland  by cutting out hearts from wrapping paper and gluing them to bakers twine I had one hand.

My Valentines Day decor is not much but I think it is a good start in the right direction. Something to build on for next year.

Thanx for stopping by to visit!

Embellished Valentine Decorations

Yesterday I got to spend the day with my friend Brenda and Linsey from over at The Farmhouse Porch. I introduced Brenda to y'all back in October when I featured her Halloween decor. She does not blog but her home is oh so blog worthy! I am always so honored when she agrees to let me feature her home.
Today I am sharing some of her Valentines Day decor. Brenda is so talented.
She can make everyday items look like a million bucks with just a little embellishment.

I apologize the lighting is a little off. It was a rainy day out so no natural light.

Brenda has a lot of items that are thrift shop finds that she has made over or embellished like this chalk board. It is made from an old framed cardboard picture that she was not a fan of but she saw past that and thus a mega sized chalk board was born.

I always love seeing what she does in this nook in her foyer.

This portrait was actually made from a poster and Modge Podge. She changes out the embellishments with the seasons.

Just look at the cute little crown and necklace with heart she added to this girl figurine!

I was even able to snap a few pics of her winter decor.
I am still trying to talk Brenda into starting a blog. Maybe one day I will win out!;)
Hope you enjoyed the tour!
See you back here on Sunday for "How I found My Style Sundays".

Tears of Joy

The boys and I ran to Wally World to pick up a few things this afternoon that Target did not have. I decided to stop off in the magazine isle. I have been stalking it for the past week in anticipation.
The Feb edition of Romantic Homes hit stands!! The January edition said to keep out till Jan 15 so I was surprised to find the Feb edition today. Why on earth did I bring home four copies?
Because of this!! I was grinning from ear to ear and trying hard to hold back tears of joy while standing in Wally World. Beth Livesay of Romantic Homes contacted me back in October to ask for pictures. I was not sure if she was going to use them or not. I have never been featured before by a magazine so I was not sure how it all worked. I figured it could go either way. I was beyond thrilled when I quickly flipped thru and saw that she did feature From My Front Porch To Yours. Thank you so very much Beth! I am truly honored to be featured along with such talented ladies to include my bloggy pal Anita from over at Cedar Hill Ranch!!
Thank you also to all of you for following along and making blogging so much fun and thank you Mama for giving me your decorating passion! Also thank you to The Hubster as well as The Papa & The Nana for always helping me to accomplish my visions to share.
