I have had our front porch ready for Easter/Spring for awhile now and seeing as Easter is this upcoming weekend I decided I needed to get to sharing it with y'all. You will also get a glimpse of some of the landscaping work I recently finished. I planted 15 boxwoods and various other shrubs to add dimension to our front beds.

A Little Bit Of Easter
I have not really put out any Easter decor just yet. I know time is ticking away but I am hemming and hawing over paint colors. I want to paint the living room and kitchen so I do not want to decorate and then have to take it all back down to only put it right back up.
With that being said I went over to visit my friend Brenda today and took some pics of her Easter decor to share. She usually goes all out but since she is moving and her house is now for sale...sniffle,sniffle,sniffle, pass a hanker chief please, sniffle...she only had a few things out. As you know when selling less is more.

| Her beautiful spring mantle. |

| This giant chocolate bunny is actually a blow mold! She added the pretty little bow and flower. |

| Brenda makes the most beautiful embellished eggs. This is just one of them. |

| This lady takes Santos to a higher level by embellishing them with all types of things from vintage lace to crowns and even angel wings. |

| This one was my absolute favorite and I wish I could have afforded her but oh well. I am sure somebody will give her a good home soon enough. Off to spend some time with my men. They are ALL off for Spring Break next week. I may need a vacation after that!;) Linking up to the following linky parties: Power Of Pinterest |

New Chandy Bling & Spring
![]() |
| I researched chandy bling and ordered some. I was afraid that they would not look as beautiful in person as they were in the listing picture. You can pretty much make anything look amazing in pictures with the right editing!;) To my surprise though they were even more beautiful. They are made from glass and not plastic so they have extra sparkle. I got 12ft for just $24.50 with free shipping. A pretty good deal I think.
The first thing I did was to swag the crystals around the entire chandy.

| After all the bling was added I decided to add some gold accent by highlighting the candelabra holders as well as the leaf detail with some Rub N Buff. |

| Now the beautiful chandy is even more beautiful and ties in perfectly with our space. |

| And because I could not take pics of the new chandy bling without sharing the first signs of spring in our home here are the spring touches I added to the dining room. |

| I made this bunny centerpiece last year and instead of coming up with something new I decided to use it again. |
![]() |
| We did not have the hutch this time last year so I enjoyed decorating it for spring. |
![]() |
| My favorite bunny bowls I purchased from HomeGoods back in the fall. |

| I decided to show y'all the side of the dining room you never really see but it is the first thing you see when you walk in our front door. I love my federal mirror collection even if it is small. |

| I am now saving up for new dining chairs. I want to put the ones on the ends back in the office. I am thinking maybe some wing back chairs with slipcovers and then two frenchy oval back chairs for the side by the hutch. Thanx for stopping by and I hope your week was a good one! WhoHoo! And It Only Took 6 Mths!
Today was a good day minus the fact that I forgot to set my alarm and woke up at 7:08 and found Oldest lounging on the couch watching Disney instead of realizing "hey the suns up and Mickey Mouse Club House is on why isn't mom up?". We were able to get ready and out the door in just 20 minutes thank goodness! After I dropped him off at school Littliest and I came home and I finished up a few orders and then decided to tackle a project that I had started well 6 months ago. Really! No let me count....7 months ago! OMG! See honestly OCD and ADD here y'all!
| Here is a bad pic of my first attempt of hanging them with knobs from HobLob. I also had let out the hem to make um puddle. That did not work and I decided they needed something more done to them. |
| Ta-daa! Finally both panels are done and I LOVE them! Now please if you are a master seamstress like Sonya over at Beyond The Screen Door please don't come running over to look at my handy work. ( Thank You Sonya for being my inspiration on attempting these! You rock!) It is far from perfect but I do think I did pretty darn good figuring out how to adjust the original panel and how to pleat both the new topper and toile panel. |
| Here is the view from our foyer. One day we may add some bamboo shades but for now I enjoy how sunny and bright the room is with the windows bare. |
| Closer look at the topper. It took me abt two and half hours to do this panel today only because I forgot how I did the first one! My bad since I did not do both at the same time. |
| I love how they puddle just a bit on the floor! |
| Here is the opposite setting which I think I do like. Still debating though. |
| I have added a cute spoon and fork print from HobLob. Not sure it will stay there or not but I do like it. |
| Just a pic of one of my many nests. |
| I think I have finally decided that my Pottery Barn scrolly votive holder will get hung on this wall. |
| As for this wall I am thinking a Menu board with some plates framing it. Let's see how long that takes for me to accomplish!;) |
| And since I finished the dining room panel my next task to accomplish is cleaning up the boys art window and making the last set of cafe curtains for the breakfast area. Oldest says he likes sitting by the window because it inspires him!:) Love him and his corkiness but not loving his mess. Thanx for stopping by and touring the dining room!
