| Recently a neighbor was redoing their landscaping and graciously gave away their boxwood shrubs. I had been wanting to find some larger boxwoods but was having no luck so I was excited to be the first to claim them. I had plans for them by our pool and out front. |

| After picking them up I ran straight to Lowes and purchased two plastic urns. They were about $12 a piece I believe.The black was too harsh for by the pool so I brought out my trusty paints. |

| I used mineral/chalk based paints in two different lighter colors and just layered them on the urns. |

| Next up all I did was wet a paper towel a little and started rubbing the paint off till you get the patina you are going for. That is what took the longest but over all it was a fairly quick project. I recommend that you do not do this project on a windy day when a storm is rolling in!;) |

| It is just that simple! I completed this project last month and wanted to wait to see how well the urns held up with the weather before I shared. You want to make sure to leave your urns in a dry place for a few days so the paint can cure. It started raining when I was doing mine and well the paint came right off in areas and I had to repaint a few spots. |

| Here is a pic form this week and as you can see the paint has staid on just nicely. I did not seal it or anything. I just let it cure a few days before placing out by the pool.
