Every Christmas I pull out one of my most favorite vintage finds. |
I found this vintage Crewel Winterscape 4 years ago at GoodWill. |
At our last house it would hang above the secretary. |
To think about the time that went into each and every stitch! |
I like to think it was a treasured piece. |
I know that I will always treasure it. I was busy today taking pics of Christmas in our master bedroom. The only space I actually have pulled together. Can not wait to share in my next post! Sharing at: Savvy Southern Style |
Hi Pamela! So pretty and definitely a Christmas treasure. Jane

ReplyDeleteThanks Cindy and thank you for stopping by for a visit!
DeleteWhat a beautiful piece of art!
ReplyDeleteIt is even more beautiful in person Penny. As an artist I new you would appreciate it. Hope your weekend was a pleasant one.
DeleteThat is an exceptionally pretty piece. I loved doing crewel work in the 70's...and had quite a few items, that have long since worn out or are orange, lol. This is lovely and must bring smiles to all who see it!
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting Sandi. I am hoping this one will hang on for many more years. It has a few spots that have yellowed but they are pretty small and not really noticeable. I am hoping that since it is in a frame with glass and boarded up on the back that it will last longer.
DeleteMerry Christmas Pam......your crewel winterscape is just lovely!!! I would have a difficult time packing it away.
ReplyDeleteLove,

Hi Janet! Thank you for stopping by and your sweet comment. I probably would leave it out all year if Mr. Front Porch wouldn't think I was crazy. LOL. Hope your weekend was a good one!
DeleteI love it. I change out art to winter art too. I'm glad to know someone else does that too.
