Sunday Mr. Front Porch and I ran a few errands. While out and about we decided to drive thru a neighborhood that we looked into back when we were house hunting. It was in the very early stages then like kicking dirt around stages and no houses. We have been thru it one other time since then but it has been awhile. It has grown tremendously and is a gorgeous community with major southern charm!

This house jumped out to Mr. Front Porch so I went to see if it was open and it was. I was delighted because it is not often Mr. Front Porch is willing to take me to look at houses never mind actually getting out to look at them. As you can see we both have a thing for a white house. |

Can we talk about dream porch!? This porch was huge and wrapped around the one side of the house. You could have a seating area, rocking chairs and several porch swings. An option for this plan and several others is to screen off a portion of the porch which actually looks really nice. There are a few homes built with that option. I of course would have added ceiling fans instead of the can lighting. |

Nice open kitchen which is popular these days. I for one prefer an open concept kitchen. I was under impressed though seeing as this home was $800,000 plus. It was extremely dark even with it being a sunny day out, the can lights on, and the island pendants on. I did like the pendant lights though. (On a side note I just looked this house up and it originally was $884,000.) I didn't think there were many other features worthy of picture taking. The rest of the home was very builder basic. Nothing to write home to your mama about. |

The shower however was AMAZING! It would have been even more beautiful if they had chosen to go lighter and brighter. The cabinetry was dark wood and it really made the space feel small though it was not. I would have gone with a white cabinet color and with a sea salt color story on the walls and accent tile. I then of course would have had a mini chandelier installed above the tub or two sconces on either side of the window. |

This home was another show stopper on the outside!! I would have preferred wood garage doors though. The gray on gray to me didn't do the home justice.(On another side note :) I just looked this house up and the garage doors use to be white which I liked. Not sure why they decided to go and paint them gray.) Can we talk about the HUGE wrap around porch upstairs and downstairs!!?? It was divine indeed. I was ready to sign on the dotted line for this one without even going inside!LOL. |

Home office was nice. Liked the fireplace in there. I would have added some wood beams for a more custom look. |
|
The dining room was beautiful and I loved the chandelier! The only thing differently I would have done is to do without the door to the porch. I would have rather had symmetry with two windows especially seeing as the front door is just to the left there. |

Huge open concept kitchen! It had great bones but at $800,000 plus I would have expected the island to have been built out with a custom design. I also would have had to have had the left cabinet as tall as the oven cabinets. Again it is all about symmetry with me. I loved the two windows! Last side note: This house is now listed at $799,000. |

Speaking of love, this cook top was the bees knees! |
|
Disappointed that they did not have a fireplace in the living room though I understand that is the only true wall in the living room. |
|
Awesome size laundry room. I would love to have a large laundry like this! |
|
Loved the floor tile! |

The tub area in the master was great. I really liked the gray cabinetry and free standing tub. I hope to get a free standing tub one day so of course I had to hop in it!:)
So that was our Sunday. I have one more house that just I went into. These two houses were both over a whopping 4,500 sq ft and the last house was just 2,900 sq ft. It was a true show stopper since it was a former model home. I will share that one up next so be sure to stop back by.

Those are beautiful on the outside. I'm with you though, the kitchens should be much more for that price tag.
