I just finished sprucing up our kitchen for the winter months. Amazingly enough it is actually still cold out! I am enjoying having a true winter. |
I am also loving the simplicity of decor after the holidays. |
Whenever I post our kitchen over on FB I always get comments on how our kitchen is beautiful but not practical and that I must not use it. I use it everyday y'all!:) It is the heart of our home. |
Our kitchen is one of my favorite spaces in our home. It has come a long way from when we first in. |
It is just a happy space to be in. |
I love seeing our laundry room floors! I painted the laundry room last January I think it was. Shhh, do not tell Mr. Front Porch but I am getting ready to repaint it yet again!:) Now with the kitchen painted SW Agreeable Gray I no longer like how SW Steamed Milk looks in the laundry room. So there ya have our simple winter kitchen. I am working on some ideas for above the cabinets. Just waiting on a few things to come in that I ordered. I can't wait! Thanks for stopping by. LOVE ! lOVE ! Oh adore the skirt around Your island ! Great look ! How did you do that !!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Cindy! I sewed four panels and then hung cafe rods on the island. I have a post about it from not too long ago.
DeleteI love the floor...don't change it. In all the pics (and I love everything), the floor really stood out as a 'wow'.
ReplyDeleteThank you Tammy! Oh I am not changing the floor!! I love that flooring as well. It was a custom design I picked out when we built the house. I am just going to change the paint color in there. Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend!
DeleteI love your kitchen, especially your cooking area. I have a wood hood (and have had it for 20+ years). A little wipe down with dish soap (it cuts grease), and keeping the fan on when I cook, makes it as easy as anything else you could use.
ReplyDeleteI am in love with your laundry room!
Jane
Thank you Jane! Our last hood I would have to wipe down but it was set back further. This one I have only ever had to wipe down the exhaust. It really is a non issue. Hope you have a great weekend Jane!
DeletePamela, your kitchen is beautiful! Why do people share their negativity?
ReplyDeleteWell Pam they always start off with how beautiful it is so that counts for something!:) Thank you for you kind words and have a wonderful weekend!
DeleteLove your kitchen. And I love the floors in your laundry.
ReplyDeleteThank you Penny! Yes the floors were a must. I adore them.
DeleteI love your range hood. It's all so fabulous.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Ivory Jean!
DeleteHi Pamela ... Love your kitchen. Do you have a blog on installing your tongue and groove back splash? I love the look and may consider it. I looked at three of your blogs on this subject, but did not see how you installed it.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Audrey Z. @ Timeless Treasures
Hi Audrey. Thank you for your kind words. No I did not do a tutorial on how we installed the tongue and groove. I have a spot over by our sink that still needs it installed. If I remember I will take pics along the way and share. It is a pretty simple DIY!:)
DeleteWhat a beautiful space you've created! No wonder it's a favorite room to spend time in.
ReplyDeletexo
Thank you so much for visiting Debbie and your kind words.
DeleteYour stove hood is still my favorite. Sigh...
ReplyDeleteAw thanks so much Laurel!
DeleteYour kitchen is beautiful! I don't know why someone would wonder if you actually use it. A room can definitely be pretty and functional. You've proven it!
ReplyDeleteThat means a lot coming from you Stacey. Thank you so much! It is always fun seeing how people with similar taste use the same elements of design in their homes.
DeleteSighs...that range hood with the salvage and picture. Love it all!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks a bunch Amber. It was certainly a dream come true range hood!
DeleteI, too, think your kitchen is beautiful, but it also looks very practical as well. I think you have done an amazing job of adding your own special touches to a new-build and really giving it character.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Carol

ReplyDeleteI love it. Can u tell me the name of your backsplash tile
ReplyDeleteI love your kitchen and stove hood. What antique piece is that carved architectural accent from?
ReplyDeleteThank you! That piece I am guessing came from the top of an old pie safe. My mama found it for me one day while out treasure hunting.
