Hope that everyone enjoyed their Mother's Day. We didn't do much of anything except stick around the house and that was fine with me. I did a little piddling around in the dining room but I will share more about that later. Today I am talking about entertainment consoles.
Then there is this beauty! It has the two tone which I love as well as the x pattern doors. It has farmhouse charm but dressed up. |
Next up is this gem. It is gray which is a plus and it has the x styled doors I love so another check. I really want a two toned piece so we could easily add some stained wood planks to the top. |
Then there is this beauty! I fell in love with it back in March at a local home decor store. The price was up there and I normally would not even consider spending that much on one piece but this piece has it all. The two tone. The french farmhouse feel and the size. I went back to the shop in April when my mama was out visiting and it was still sitting there. I told Mr. Front Porch about it and he finally gave in a few weeks later and said that we could share the cost of the piece if I truly wanted it. Well you can imagine my excitement as we drove to the shop to buy it. If only it were that simple! No joke the piece had literally sold just before we arrived and so there it sat taunting me with a big ol SOLD tag on it. Now the dilemma is what I should do? All the other sideboards are online and not local. Most have free shipping but not all. The two toned off white one is almost as much as this piece and I think it may be too long. So then that takes us back to this piece. Yes, I know this piece sold but I was told they could order me one. It would take two months or longer for it to come in. Sigh.... so do I have them order one or do I make do with one of the others and save half the cost of this piece and put the savings towards other projects in the house which ya know is the route I normally would take? What piece would you choose? Sharing at these wonderful blogs: Savvy Southern Style |
Your favorite one online is almost the cost of the one local that you really want. I say order it!
ReplyDeleteLoved the gray with chicken wire. Of course, they're all real pretty!
ReplyDeleteOrder the one you really want. You will be happy with it for a very long time and it's worth the extra money if you really love it!
ReplyDeleteOh I would order this gorgeous two toned one that you really like and wait for it. You will have it for along time, so go for it.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely #3!!
ReplyDeleteBuy local. Helps the small business owner and you get what you want. No regrets.
ReplyDeleteOrder and wait for the one that got away! Good things come to those who wait. You will be tinkering with every other piece, painting, distressing, etc. if you don't get this one you wanted originally.
ReplyDeleteRita
Order the one you want. Can't wait to see what you decide.
ReplyDeleteLoved all of your inspiration pics of the consoles....sorry the one you wanted was sold....have you thought about looking for some antique pieces?
ReplyDeleteIf you love it, order it. We had to wait 12 long weeks for our bedroom set and I was sick to my stomach!! I think its great. For me it's a toss up between the one you love and the one with the chicken wire...although that may be too 'country' for my decor.
ReplyDeleteGood luck, Pamela.

Order the one you want.
ReplyDeleteOrder it. What you really love is worth waiting for.
ReplyDeleteI would also order and wait for the one that got away! It made you're heart sing, had everything you loved. Spend more on it rather than get one of the others that you liked, but might always think about the one that got away.
ReplyDeleteNo question at all...ORDER the one you really want..It is beautiful, and I thought the others were also, UNTIL the picture of this beauty appeared. Get what you want, because later you'll be unhappy that you didn't, and will probably end up buying this one anyway...Don't ask how I know this...but it happens...This is sure to make a statement in your lovely home!!!
ReplyDeleteOnce your heart falls in love with a piece, you'll never be happy with another. You will feel like you settled. Regret is a terrible emotion to live with. Order the one you really want. You won't regret it!
ReplyDeleteMy vote is get what you really want, buy local whenever you are able to support small business, and know there is a reason it sold - it's awesome.
ReplyDeleteI like them all but the dark piece is my least fav unless painted.
Love, love, love that last one. I would order and wait for it. You'll spend more time hunting for another one you love and it probably won't be as pretty. You'll forget how much it cost afterwards.
ReplyDeleteIf you're going to have to order then I suggest checking Etsy. It's worth a shot. (I know I'm late to the replying party. :) )
ReplyDeleteWhat brand is that last one? It is BEAUTIFUL. I am also looking for an entertainment console. I need a longer one though. Thank you!
