For our new home I have more of a timeless, traditional farmhouse picture in my head. Something that I can dress up or down depending on my mood. We went with iconic white shaker cabinets along with black and white Silestone counter tops. The backsplash will be a DIY after we move in. We are however having them install a simple white subway tile above the range. Easy to rip out after I decide if I want to go with all subway tile, brick, or even plank the backsplash. I am still up in the air about it. |
I like the idea of a timeless- traditional farmhouse ♥

Your kitchen is going to be absolutely beautiful! I am in the process of shopping for a white farmhouse sink with apron, and I had the ikea one on the radar, but I haven't done much research on it. Would you mind telling me why you didn't choose it?
ReplyDeleteThanks!
I so wanted the ikea one for many years but we had to go with one from the vendors for the builder. They would not install or warranty any other. After our last visit to Ikea I cam to terms with my sink and decided that it was best that I had not gotten it though I would have loved it not knowing the difference. The one we have now is larger and the single bowl is divine! I hope to never have to go back to a divided bowl again. Even my mother in law commented on how much she loved the farmhouse sink when she was washing dishes because of how roomy it is. Good luck on your search!
