Over the past month or so I have been sharing with you all our journey of house hunting.
Our new home will not be ready till late September to early October so that means we are scrambling to find an apartment for 3 months. So what made us finally go thru with the sale of our home? |
The thought of building a home that will work for us for the next 10 + years, that was closer to work for Mr. Front Porch and near great schools for Oldest and Littlest. |
We were hoping for a home on some land but after we found the "Blue Farmhouse" we knew we had found our next home! The "Blue Farmhouse" was sold but thankfully there was a perfect lot for us to build our own version. |
It reminds me a lot of this Southern Living farmhouse that I have loved for so very long. I have had it saved in my dream house file for several years now. We kept ourselves from getting attached to our new house or getting excited but now that things have moved along and our current home is spoken for we are starting to get truly excited! We are lovingly calling it Our Suburban Farmhouse. We have picked out all of our options and I have already been purchasing some new goodies for it! I am looking forward to sharing our journey of building our suburban farmhouse and making it our home! |
Congratulations Pamela!! I love the look of your Suburban Farmhouse. I wish we could find something like that around Dallas. Can't wait to see more. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Stacey! David Weekley builds in and around Dallas I believe. This is the second home we are building with them. We built our very first home with them back in 2002.

ReplyDeleteThank you Lisa! It has been a whirlwind. Stressful picking out options for what may be our forever home in just two design visits. We did it though and crossing fingers it all pulls together nicely.
