***Update- I have received a ton of emails about who the builder is of the farmhouses. I was going to add their contact info and the website for everyone but after finding that the website is no longer up I contacted the builder and sadly they are no longer offering the farmhouses in their line up and have since closed the model homes in Round Top.***
Mr. Front Porch and I have been tossing around the idea of building a home for almost two years now. After visiting many a model home in many different communities we finally decided what we really would love to do is to buy an acre or two of land and build us a farmhouse. After doing some research we found a builder who has some model homes up in Round Top, Texas so my three men and I hopped in the car for a Sunday drive.

How exciting for you and your family Pamela! Two years ago we made the move to the country and built a home, now we are building a small farm ;-) Do you want a few chickens or anything when you move? Looking forward to Part 2!

Loved this house and the decorating they did. All the greens are beautiful! Looking forward to seeing more!!!
ReplyDeletePamela,
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this charming farmhouse at my party today. I LOVE that great shelf unit on the porch.
Blessings,
Linda
I love the farmhouse! It would be prefect for my husband and myself. I have be searching for something just like this and thanks to you I have found it .
ReplyDeletePamela, I love this home, especially the large porch.

I love this house! The porch is fabulous and I'd spend a great deal of time out there with my books and coffee. I agree with you about the kitchen sink, too. BUT, the one thing that caught my eye immediately was the refrigerator. I would move it to the other side of the stove or flip the unit sides if you keep it there. If I were at the stove and needed milk I'd have to go clear to the other side instead of moving one step to the right and opening it. Just a thought.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful home - love all the buffalo check sprinkled throughout !
ReplyDeleteAnd to have a porch like that would be a dream come true for me - how exciting for you!
The first thought I had was to rearrange the appliances......stove is too far away from the sink........move sink to the other windows. The pop up ads were very annoying but I stuck with it to see this charming farm home.....
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting sweet violet! I apologize about the ads. It is something new for me and well they do not show up on my end all the time so it is hard for me to see exactly what they look like. I will continue to try and monitor it and see how I can have my ad manager pull back on the ads that are at the bottom of the pictures. I think those are the ones you are referring to?
DeleteThat's a keeper! Love how they decorated the inside with a cottage feel to it. The porch is a stunner!
ReplyDeleteWOW..... confirmed... I should make a move to Texas... :) ... my dream cottage/farmhouse... 2 bedrooms..2baths..AND PORCHES... PORCHES!!!! Just beautiful!! Let me seeeeee..... Roundtop... Lauriannas Vinatge... Chip and JoAnna Gaines... I should at least make Texas a destination soon!! Road trip!!!! :) ..thank you so much for sharing
ReplyDeleteIf you get to build your farm house I'm moving in with you. This is exactly what I want to do.
ReplyDeleteCan we get contact info on the builder? This is EXACTLY what I'm looking for!
ReplyDeleteMiss Wisteria the builder is Trendmaker Homes and the model homes are located in Round Top, Tx.
DeleteIs there a place that we can see the floor plan of this house? Seems like a great home!
ReplyDeleteRustic barnyard I just went to get the html code so you could visit the site but the builder has since taken it down. They may possibly not be building them anymore. The builder was Trendmaker Homes.
DeleteWho is the builder? And what is the cost?
ReplyDeleteDeborah the builder is Trendmaker Homes but I am not sure of the price. I just went to look at the website and it seems to have been taken down at this time. They may possibly no longer be building them.
