Hi everyone! My name is Angela and I blog over at Twelve Oaks Manor! I'm so thrilled to be a part of Pamela's series "How I found My Style Sundays"!! Thank you, Pamela, for letting me share a part of my world!!
1. My decorating style is?
Oh gosh, I love many different styles and it's ever-changing! Right now, I'd say I'm more traditional with a little French Country, Victorian, Shabby Chic and Cottage thrown in!
I believe a "style" is what you "love". Surround yourself with things that speak to you and your house will become a home!
2. How did you "find" your decorating style?
I'm still looking! I think that keeps our minds and creativity fresh! I guess, truth be known, style found me! Again, if you buy what you love and it speaks to you, a style will evolve!!
3. What has been your most treasured find for your home?
My most treasured pieces are really not things I've found but things that have been given to me by family.
This church pew and matching mirror were bought by my mother at a garage sale almost 50 years ago for $25. They are now mine and priceless!
Notice the Lions Heads? They just don't make furniture like this anymore!!! The crocheted table runner was my grandmother's. Another priceless piece!

4. What tips do you have for creating a beautiful home?
I know I sound like a broken record, but, buy what you love and speaks to you and you will never go wrong! Try to buy the best you can afford, especially when it comes to furniture. Always keep your mind open when shopping sales! Think outside the box.....just because somethings chipped or the wrong color doesn't mean it can't be changed or disguised! Paint is your friend.....it can change the whole feel of a room for not a lot of money!
Also, remember that rooms can extend to the outside!!!!
Think of your outdoor spaces as rooms without ceilings!!! Add rugs, lamps....even curtains if you can! Treat them just like you would your interior rooms but be sure things can withstand the weather!!
I'll leave you with this final tip: always go with your gut!! Trust your instincts and don't be afraid of change! My home is full of color but I'm feeling the urge to go light and bright! Many paint cans are in my future!!
Thank you again, Pamela, and all your readers for having me! I hope you'll stop by Twelve Oaks Manor and say "hi"!
