Better Late Than Never: Autumn Front Porch

We all have been there, you have a to do list and somehow you fall behind and then there is that one thing that does not get done. For me it was our front porch. I had good intentions. I even purchased some huge beautiful mums for the urn. They died and well I just never finished the porch. Every time I went to complete it I just kept thinking about what I wanted to do for Christmas. Then one day I received an email from Laura over at Top This Top That asking me if I wanted to join her and some other wonderful bloggers in the "Better Late Than Never Thanksgiving Party". Of course I said yes and so the crunch was on to create a beautiful autumn front porch but without spending any money because well I need to save that for the Christmas porch!;)
Welcome to my Autumn front porch! It took me about an hour to accomplish this after making a few things and pulling from my stash of autumn goodies that I had not yet used inside our home.
Chalk board sign made from some discontinued cabinet doors purchased at Ikea for just $3 each.
Topiary wire form that I dismantled for this project. It use to have faux ivy wrapped all around it.
Autumn wreath from last year.
I pulled a few things from our back porch like the little round table and the solar lantern.
Now I did purchase one thing. Tom the turkey was in the clearance isle at Target for just $6. At that price I figured he could come and welcome our guests.
I made this Give Thanks Banner with some leftover scrapbook paper and stamps I had on hand. Super easy and quick.
After I was done I stood there and wondered why it ever took me so long to get around to it.
Be sure to stop by and visit all the wonderful ladies participating in the "Better Late Than Never Thanksgiving Party". Thank you Laura for inviting me to join you all!:)

Tom Turkey is so cute...wonder if he's a long lost brother or cousin of my guy. ;) I smiled when I read you keep thinking of Christmas. I've been doing the exact same thing. My brain keeps wanting to decorate for Christmas and I have to keep reminding myself that Thanksgiving is still ahead. So happy to be joining in today's party with you! Have a wonderful weekend!

  5. So very stunning, as always. :) Makes me want to go all out next year, but it takes time to get a good collection of seasonal items - especially when you are still essentially "starting out" as my fiancé and I are. I cannot WAIT to see what you come up with for the holiday season Pamela!!!
