How I Found My Style Sundays- Faded Charm

Hi, my name is Kathleen from Faded Charm and I would like to start off by thanking Pamela for having me here today.  Please have a seat and join me on my tour.

I would describe my style as being elegantly rustic by combining worn and weathered items with chandeliers, ironstone and linens to create a time worn atmosphere. 

I decorate with many different shades of white mixed with warm woods and lots of patina.  I've collected architectural pieces for years and not only love the history behind each item, but also the texture they add to a room.

I'm very fond of quite a few pieces in my home, but right now my favorite piece would be this primitive pie cupboard I've recently purchased.  I had been looking for one for a while to fill with ironstone and think it fits this area nicely.

My decorating style has evolved over the years, but I've found that by keeping a nuetral background I can easily move furniture from room to room or even from inside to out.  Outdoor garden items are always welcome inside my home.  I like to create an inviting living space on both my porch and patio as well.  Both these areas get used frequently in the hot Summer months.

Flowers are a must and I like them placed in trophies, urns, pitchers, bottles, etc....throughout my home.

Even a laundry room can be functional as well as still fitting into your decorating style.  My advice is to surround yourself with things you love and by doing that you will create your own style.
