Our Christmas Tree 2012

I know I am a little behind on sharing our tree this year and I apologize. I am having hard time getting pics this year for some reason. Anyways, here is our tree.
Normally it takes me about an hour to an hour and half to find the perfect tree. I drive my boys insane literally. This year was a record breaker though. In 15 minutes the perfect tree was tied to the top of Lucy and away we went.
Our tree sat in the foyer for a day or two till I could get the furniture moved around. Then I moved it into the living room.
Mom says the secret to easily moving a Christmas tree from room to room is to place the tree holder on an old comforter. That makes it super easy to pull around the house if need be.
I wish this tree was a fake because I just love it to pieces.
One of the reasons I love it so much is because it has the beginnings of little pine cones all over it. At least I think that is what they are. Either way they are cool. We have never had a tree with them before.
This year I retired our old star after 11 years because the lights kept going out. I was excited to have found this pretty one at Lowes.
I kept the decorations simple this year and did not use very many. As matter of fact Oldest kept asking me when we were going to decorate the tree!;)
Another new addition this year is our galvanized bucket. It is my solution to keeping the fur babies out of the tree water and then proceeding to barf on the tree skirt. It has worked like a charm! I can't wait till next year after the bucket has weathered some.
I retired our old ribbon and used burlap ribbon for a more simple look. Next year I am wanting to add some gold beads.
This is The Hubster who was refusing to move from the sofa so I could take pics for y'all. I threatened to include him in the post and thus here he is!;)
This is my view while washing dishes!

The kiddos are finally out for the holidays as well as The Hubster off of work so the next almost 3 weeks will be full of family time. I hope that everybody is enjoying their holiday season thus far!
Thanx for stopping by!

  1. Pamela these are some beautiful photos, especially your view from the kitchen. But I was cracking up over the photo of "the hubster!". The life of a blogger's husband. Haha, it causes rebellion sometimes, especially when they're trying to relax on the couch!
    Wishing you a Blessed Christmas,

How is that possible? Everything looks so cozy and inviting! Wishing you and your family a wonderful Blessed Christmas!

We have trouble with our fur babies also. We can't put ribbons or bows on our gifts because the cats chew on it then barf. lol
