One HUGE Project.

My name is Savannah Jane and I am a Dachshund. I came to my new home last Saturday on my mom and dads 11th anniversary. My mom thinks she lost her mind when she agreed to bring me home. It is a good thing I am cute!;) Mom thinks I am way more work than a real baby.
I am truly loved by everybody though. This is one of my big bros and even though he loves cats he has decided I am just as good.
This is my other big bro and he LOVES me to pieces. He has been wanting a dog forever it seems so when we met it was love at first site. He does a super job helping mom take care of me and taking me out for potty breaks. Mom doesn't know what she is going to do with me all day once my brothers go back to school on Monday.
I love to hang with my mom even when she is on FaceBook or blogging.
Taking naps its one of my favorite past times for sure.
My sister has decided that I am okay as long as I don't hop at her. Yes, I hop especially when I get excited. Mom thinks it is too cute. My brother Max refuses to come in the room if he knows I am out. Hopefully he will come around soon.
My dad is the best! I can be sound asleep and when I hear his key in the door at night I wake right up and go crazy till he picks me up.
I am one lucky pup that is for sure! The vet told mom they have no idea how big I will get. She is hoping I am a miniature and stay on the small side. Right now I am only 2.9 pounds at 8 weeks old.
Did I mention that I am already just a tad spoiled?

  14. So CUTE! And what a sweet name! We got our little black doxie puppy when our kids were really young like yours are. They grew up together, and Pokey was with our family for 17 years. You're in for a treat!

  15. Pamela your new family member is adoraable. I do agree with you, young puppies are more trouble than and infant but you can lock them in the laundry room and CPS will not arrest you.
Our Zoey was 2 lbs at 12 weeks and she weighs just under 7 pounds now if that is any help in guestimating your little girls full grown size. She was 5 months old before she could sleep thru the night. I put a peepee pad next to the bed and she would wake me up and I would lead over and put her on the pad and pick her and put her back in bed after she was done. The only draw back of using the peepee pads is that my dogs think that any throw rugs are peepee pads.
    Congrats again.

  17. Oh...nothing better than a baby weenie. I should know! She really looks like a very sweet girl. From my experience their personality is all there at 8 weeks. Looks like she is a snuggler....oh the best. Make sure your boys know how delicate her back is. I'm so jealous...makes me want another one.

  18. What an adorable little love! She looks like she is in love with everybody and everybody with her. Well, maybe not the cats entirely, but they'll get used to each other. Congrats on your new baby girl! I want one! LOL Hugs, Leena

  25. So sweet! Enjoy! I was so adamant about never having a dog, hubby too, but our oldest son convinced us otherwise with his maturity and sense of responsibility. I am so glad we agreed because I could never have guessed how much Remington has added to our home and family. Dog hair and all!
