The last of it!

I do not know about you but I am in full holiday mode now! I have been listening to the cable Christmas music channel every morning after I drop the boys off at school. Last weekend I did the annual moving of the furniture in the living room to accommodate a tree. I also started taking down all the fall that has been up since September!
Here is the last of it that I forgot to share with you! That is the angel that goes with our nativity set. I keep her out all year to watch over us. She has seen us thru many occasions to even include Hurricane Gustav!

I love how the sun shines thru the top of the door! I wish I had a plug up there so that I could do lights and not  have a hanging cord down the side like at Christmas. That drives me insane but I do it anyways!;)

So this is what it looks like at our house right now. The boys are all excited and we have even put up their tree in their bedroom already!

Most of all the holiday decor rests here in our master. Even though I would love to get going on it it will have to what till after Thanksgiving.

Have you started decorating yet?

Hope y'all are having a fabulous week!

  1. I'm rearranging furniture today to make way for the tree and table displays. It takes me as long to do this as it does to do the holiday decor.. Good luck~!

  2. Yes mam, I certainly have! I hate to see the fall decor go, and I have a mixture of fall and Christmas right now. Every time I see your fireplace, I just drool! You have to be so proud of it. Anyhoo, have a great and safe Thanksgiving.

  7. I feel "odd man out", Pamela, as I always wait until Black Friday to decorate for Christmas. I'm looking forward to it, but I'm holding off until then.

  8. Hey, Pamela! Thanksgiving is at my house (over 20 people) so I can't even think about Christmas decor until after next Thursday!
It's quite a drawn out process, isn't it? Getting all the decorations up. Don't feel bad, my house will looks the same for several days! :)

  9. I try to wait until right after Thanksgiving, since the feast is always at my house. Since we are in a new home this year, I do have an area in the guest room where I've been getting it all unpacked, organized, sorted for different rooms, etc. I purchased a pair of 4' trees from Big Lots, one for the kitchen-breakfast room & one for the outside entry. We are having 2 of our grandchildren for a sleepover early next week, so I am planning to let them decorate the kitchen tree. Two more "Grands" will be here for Thanksgiving, & I will let them decorate our main tree in the sitting-dining room. I've been busy crafting some new decorations, & "pinning" like crazy - unbelievable talent on Pinterest! I'm now following you over there, too! I really enjoyed your photo tour of the Nutcracker Market -- so many beautiful things. Thanks so much for sharing!

  10. Wait ... did you just ask if I had started yet? I guess that means I shouldn't tell you that I have finished. Wait, I take that back ... we have one more tree to do ... there, is that better! I look forward to seeing your fabulous Christmas decor! Love the vignette above your doorway.
