The Evolution of a Dining Room

Hey y'all! Hope your week has started off well. As you know we just finished our flooring reno and as promised here are some  more pics. The first and only room I have 100% done is the dining room. Come along and see our dining room from the very beginning.

I did say the very beginning!;) Our dining room when we purchased our home.

Our dining after we moved in. Note the chandy change.

The dining room after I finally chose a paint color and yes, trust me when I tell ya it is a differ color from before.

Our dining room before demo. Pardon the lack of light.
Demo completed. Notice the plastic wrapped curtains!:)

And without further ado our dining room today!

This is the view from the hallway to the kitchen. I love all the natural light! It does though make it hard for picture taking at times.

The new chandy and all of its bling.

I changed up the table display to this. The huge cloche went to sit on the kitchen table.

I had just recently redone the buffet display before we tore this room up so I just put it back the same way. I did though add one thing. Can you guess what it is?

I found this runner at HomeGoods in the clearance section for just $12. I had been looking for one forever it seems and had even brought several home all to be returned. This one I think is just perfect.

I finally hung our Pottery Barn votive holder after two years of it just leaning on the wall in several places thru out the home. I think this is a good spot for it. I also found a place for the old buffet mirror.

To add some color to the votive holders I added some moss and placed some battery votives in them.  I really wish I could find votives that do not glow orange but white.

Now this wall is still waiting for some loving.  All in all though I think our dining room has come a long way!

  5. The floors look just amazing, Pamela! I love them! Your dining room has come a long way. It takes time once you've moved into a home to get rooms how you want them. I think it helped that you lived with it for awhile before decorating it as it is today.
