Farmhouse Kitchen-Pottery Barn Vintage Floral Plates

I was doing so well with posting then I got wrapped up in decking the halls! I can not wait to share with y'all what I have been up  to. It is only the beginning stages but I am quite loving it all. Till then I thought that I would share a farmhouse treasure I found last week.

I had been eyeing these Vintage Floral Salad plates over on Pottery Barn. They are a set of 4 for 24.99. I put them in my cart and was hemming and hawing. Over the weekend we went to the mall which we rarely do but glad we did. We stopped in Pottery Barn to see if they had the plates so I could see them up close. I mean I already have many dishes so they had to be something truly special. In the stock photo from their website the dishes look to be a cream color which I was not so thrilled about. Imagine my delight when the sales lady Melissa brought them out and they were white!

Needless to say two sets came home with me! It helped that at the time there was an additional sale on clearance items so each set was only $15.99! I mean who can resist that!?;) They match our kitchen perfectly.

The crackle finish just makes my heart go pitter pat.

I wish they had the dinner plates as well but they were already sold out online and in store. I can not wait to create a tablescape with these come January after all the holiday decor is put away.

  1. I'll try my best not to copy your purchases since we love the same things. Those dishes are gorgeous!

  2. Love the plates! I know what you mean about having many dishes so you really have to love them. I sell vintage dishes on Etsy, mostly Pfaltzgraff and Thomson Pottery. Many times I have wanted to keep the patterns that I find, but I tell myself I have enough dishes and that's not my reason for scouting them out and putting on Etsy. Most times it works.

  3. I like them better the way you displayed them. The dinner plates with them look too busy in the pottery barn photo.

  4. Thanks for showing the difference in those plate colors. This disparity usually happens to me with fabric, but you are showing that it could be anything. I agree, they are gorgeous in white!! Good buy!
