Cottage Craftsman- House Hunting Part 3

Today I am sharing a Cottage Craftsman that we looked at on our house hunt.
Cottage Craftsman-House Hunting-From My Front Porch To Yours

It sits on over an acre lot in the same neighborhood as the other craftsman with the perfect yard. This house had an automatic gated driveway.

This home had another major plus which was hardwood floors thru out. Not one stitch of carpet which is important due to allergies.
Cottage Craftsman-Dining Room- French Country-From My Front Porch To Yours
The dining room was a nice size. It was hard trying to figure out how our furniture would fit though because of all the archways. I would actually have to get rid of a lot of furniture. This home only had three bedrooms.
Cottage Craftsman-Living Room-From My Front Porch To Yours
The living room lacked a fireplace. We were trying to figure out how to rip the tv/fireplace cabinet out and replace it with a  gas log fireplace.
Cottage Craftsman-Open Concept-Kitchen-Island-From My Front Porch To Yours
The kitchen was open concept which I loved. The island was at a strange angle though and I had to decide if I could get use to it. I also was not excited about the fact that it was tiered. This home lacks a breakfast nook so the only place to eat would be the dining room or at this island and truthfully there really is not enough room to sit at the island.
Cottage Craftsman-Master Bedroom-From My Front Porch To Yours
The master bedroom was right off the living room. It only had one window which was above the bed and then a door to an outside patio area. I am not a fan of doors to the outside in bedrooms. One of the secondary bedrooms also had a door to the outside which really restricted how you could use the space since the bedrooms were not all that big.
Cottage Craftsman-Master Bathroom-Spa Tub-From My Front Porch To Yours
Really great master bath. I LOVE that tub!
Cottage Craftsman-Beadboard Wainscoting-From My Front Porch To Yours
Cottage charm was added thru out with beadboard.
Cottage Craftsman-Claw Foot Tub-From My Front Porch To Yours
A claw foot tub which I really liked but felt that it may be tough for the boys and the grandparents.
Cottage Craftsman-Bonus Room-From My Front Porch To Yours
This home was all one story except for a bonus room you could access thru the garage. It was a great space but just an odd way to get to it.
Cottage Craftsman-Swimming Pool-From My Front Porch To Yours
Another plus is the swimming pool!

All these pics are from the MLS listing. Sadly deleted from my phone the ones I took. This home we visited twice contemplating on whether it would work for us or not.

In case you missed the other homes on our hunt here they are:

  4. This one is nice too, but that 4th bedroom is pretty important, maybe if you could add regular access the bonus room could become guest quarters?
