A Lil' More Fall

Today I thought I would share the last bit of my fall decorating around the house. I still have a few more things I could pull out of the closet but I'm just not feeling it.
This is the little area off to the side of the fireplace.

The top of our t.v. armoire.

Even the entry way into our guest room was decked out with a little fall.

Now that the fall decorating is completed I am already starting to think of what I am going to do for Christmas. Anybody else?

Don't forget about Treasure Hunt Thursday going on strong! We have reached a HUGE milestone this week with over 100 link ups so far. Can you see me doing the happy dance!?;)

Have great weekend y'all!

Treasure Hunt Thursday #76 & Highlights

Fallish type weather has moved into our area. It has been a great relief. I am excited to be done with all the fall decorating and so I can focus on other projects I need to complete. It is hard to believe we are moving into the busy time of year for projects. I know there will be so much to share between now and the end of the year. This week highlights are all DIY projects.
One More Time shared with us how to make these amazing palm leaf pumpkins.

Turnstyle Vogue shared with us how to make these seasonal wood blocks.

Sweet Boutique shared with us this beyond fabulous cake! Yes, I said cake!!

Marty's Musings shared with us how to make this awesome branch votive holder.

Number Fifty-Three shared with us her beautiful fall entry way. She even showed us how she made that awesome owl silhouette!
As always thank you to all who partied last week! I am so truly honored to have such talent partying at my place! If you were featured please feel free to grab the "I've Been Featured" button!:) I have the newly updated button with html code on my sidebar!

What would be a HUGE help and encourage more comments not just from me but others as well would be for everybody to take off their required verification codes for leaving a comment. This seems to take just a few seconds of time but when you have to do it on 30 or more blogs it takes up a TON of time. Last week most everybody had turned off their Word Verification which made it so much easier for me to stop by everybody's links! Thank you!

Now on to this weeks party!
As with all parties there are the normal rules. You must link back to From My Front Porch To Yours in your THT POST. Just common courtesy. If ya don't link back ya don't get to party. Only link up to your Treasure Hunt Thursday post and NOT your blog homepage. Please No advertising and PLEASE NO MORE than 3 links from the SAME party goer. Also NO MORE linking up to your own link parties. I am seeing more and more link ups of just people promoting their own linky parties. I know it takes time to go back and make a separate post to join the party but it is just the polite thing to do. If you find your post deleted it is not because I am a meany, I just have to make sure the rules are being followed. You can save some of your posts for the following weeks party! Please only link up new posts and not posts that you linked up the week before. Also be sure to visit at least the link before you and after you to just say Hi! It makes partying all the more fun! If you are new around here I would love it if ya become a follower!:)

Outdoor Fall Decor 2012

I was planning on sharing our outside fall decor first since it was the first thing to be fully completed but the weather had other ideas. Today was a beautiful day so I headed outside and snapped some pics for y'all to see. I kept things pretty simple.
This year I purchased quite a few mums in a variety of colors. These here are from WM.

Since they were in smaller pots I was able to place them on either side of our gate.

Remember my Costco mum that was so big I was having trouble figuring out what to do with it?

I decided to place it in my urn. At first I tried it and thought it was too big because the pot would not sit down in the urn. Since I could not find anywhere else to place it I decided to pull out a few grapevine wreaths I had and some leaf garland to wrap around them. Now you can't even tell that the pot doesn't sit down in the urn. I added a burlap bow that was a lot fuller before the rain. Now it just sorta hangs there but oh well. Still looks nice I think.

I placed some red mums in our hanging baskets off to the sides of the garage. I made sure that all the mums I purchased still had plenty of buds to bloom. I didn't want them blooming out too early.

I really like how it all came together. I am STILL loving my carriage house garage door hardware that I got back at Christmas. Such a little investment for such a huge impact.

I used some of the same items from last year this year for the porch. Not sure why this picture is coming out fuzzy. It doesn't look fuzzy anywhere but here when I load it to Blogger. Grrrr. The grapevine garland around the door I had put up back in the spring. I just changed out the decorative garland to leaves so that it looked more full. I have thought about adding lights but we shall see.

I changed our welcome flag out to a pretty fall one that I purchased at our Ace Hardware.

Some more pretty red mums. Hope I can remember to keep watering them all!;)

Topiary I made last year. There were two on the porch last year but since then I moved the other urn to the garage area.

The same wreath from last year. I didn't see any need to change it up.
Then the little bit of Halloween I have up. We have a little more Halloween to add this year because the boys are requesting it but I may share that closer to Halloween if it turns out right. I also want to purchase some pumpkins but at the time it was still too early. I did not want them to start rotting.

So there ya have it! I have a few more little displays of fall around the house to share so be sure to come back by and check it out.

Hoep your day is going well and don't forget to come back by tomorrow afternoon for Treasure Hunt Thursday!:)

Fall Dining Room 2012

This morning there is a crispness in the air and I am having my first pumpkin latte of the season while making this post. It is yummy!

Up next in my series of fall decorating reveals is our dining room.
I know some of you...Mom;)...did not like my choice in removing our antique buffet out of the dining room and replacing it with the frenchy hutch but I have to say that I am really loving it in here. I may just have to let that buffet go to its next home. I know Mom is just cringing right now. Sorry Mom.
The hutch has been so much fun to decorate. I am really glad I removed that top shelf.
I wanted to add some height to the hutch per say so I went digging thru all of my fall decor and came up with this wreath that I purchased last year from HomeGoods. I had used it above our fireplace.
I pulled down this clock from above our front door. It was too tall for here at first because it has a spindle on the top but thankfully it just unscrewed so it all worked out. I love when things go as planned!
I may change this space up a little but for now I just used some pretty pumpkin picks to spice things up.
I left my white dish ware out because it is so versatile. I added the center pumpkin and then a few  flowers in the pitcher.
I also added a little something to the cups. They were originally empty but after staring at them for 30 minutes I HAD to put something in them.
I am really loving how the centerpiece for the table came together. I was racking my brain trying to think of what I could do here. I didn't want to go out and spend any money.
You may think that this pumpkin piece looks vaguely familiar. I had put the base together back in the spring.
While I was putting the bunny on a stick display away it dawned on me how great the base would look with a pumpkin stuck in the middle. Thankfully the bunny stick was removable. To make it look more fallish I added the leaves in with the greenery. I think it came together beautifully.
I adore these leaf votives and bring them out every year. My mom gave them to me after The Hubster and I were married. I may be corrected but I believe these belonged to my grandmother. If not they were my Mama's so either way they will always be special to me.
Instead of candles I placed these .99 cent WM pumpkins on the top of my iron candle sticks. The only thing I did buy this year for in here. I then added the candle rings for that extra pop of color.

I have not had a chance to make this large frame in to a chalk board yet so I just placed my "pumpkins for sale" sign inside of it. I hope I can change it out shortly. Gotta get The Hubster on board though to cut the board for me.

Thanx for stopping by! Up next in the fall reveals I think will be our outside.
