2012 Fall Mantle

I finally stopped dragging my feet and was able to get my fall decorating completed. I was thinking the outside was going to be my first reveal but rain moved in this afternoon and I didn't get out there soon enough to take pics before hand. I did however get the inside pics done in time.

I changed things up from last year. I pulled out my iron votive holder which I have used on the mantle before. 

Everything I already owned which was a great thing. I normally have to go out and buy a few things. Well I did buy a few things but not for the mantle!;) This finial I purchased back in July when we went to Ga to see the fam. I got it at the Pottery Barn Outlet and had not used them till now.

Addition of little pumpkins here and there.  

I decorated the lantern the same as last year.  

I changed this corner up just a tad with a larger pumpkin.

I brought out my beloved pumpkin pillow for the chair. 

I thought that this picture turned out really pretty. 

There ya have it! My fall mantle for 2012! Yes, I had to turn the fireplace on to get the full effect even though at the time it was 85 if not hotter outside.

This week has been filled with me finally getting in the fall decorating mood. I am not done yet but at least I am getting there. Posts to come soon!:)

I didn't get a chance to leave comments on all though because I was on my iPad and it is not as easy to leave comments on there especially when it is not a blogger blog and I have to enter in a bunch of info to leave the comment.

Happy Fall Y'all!

I can not believe that is officially fall! I am so ready for the cooler temps. We had some but over the weekend temps crept back up to 94. Not so fallish. I admit I have been dragging my feet BIG time on the fall decorating. I tried really hard this past week to get in the mood but it just was not happening. I went in my decor closet turned the light on, stared for 5 minutes, and then turned the light back off and walked out. I was just not feeling it and I know I am wayyyyyy behind everybody else. 

Or at least I was.

Yesterday we made our monthly pilgrimage to Costco and look what they had! Every year they have these huge mums but every year I leave them behind. This year it was just what I needed to get me in the fall mood.

Even though the heat and humidity returned over the weekend I started pulling the outside decor together. 

I am not quite done yet but I should be by Tuesday!
